The Devils are having a bad season now. And one of them, one of the players was Jack Hughes, who's hurt again. And he gave a very tepid response of, I wouldn't tell them anything. We just have to see if we can.
I mean, it was as it was as non passionate of response. It was almost I don't even want to talk about a question. Do you guys think that Bill Guerin has or should? Well, he should. Do you guys think Bill Guerin has or will reach out aggressively at all on Jack Hughes, who, of course, is Quinn's brother? Quinn's contract's up in a year after next season. Jack Hughes is signed much longer term, 2029-30 through that season. 8 million AAV, which is a bargain now with the salary cap going up, a complete bargain. And he does not have any trade protection until July 1st of this year on his contract. Um, what do you guys think about that? Now I will say the one thing about Jack is great player, uh, but in his career, he has only played one full season and that was the 56 game COVID season in 2020, 21.
