Joe Smith, Michael Russo of The Athletic have thrown out, and didn't make a huge story, but they twice in different pieces, and both clearly well-connected, threw out that Jesper Volstead might be the guy, if the Wilds are going to make a big trade, that he might be the guy that they offer up, because we all know that the team needs a center.
We all know that they have given up a lot of assets, especially in the Quinn Hughes trade. But Volstead is... Very, or has been, for the most part, very good. Phillip Gustafson has a contract extension now that takes him through 2031. Now, the context is this. In the last week or so, Elliott Friedman, who I would compare to... who I would compare it to say is he is the Adam Schefter of National Hockey League Insiders at Sportsnet, which is very similar in a lot of ways to what ESPN is here in the States.
