Hockey. Yeah. My favorite. It's Judd's Hockey Show.
Welcome into a live edition of Judd's Hockey Show from Grand Casino Arena. It is Olgad and A.J. Fredrickson. We've just watched a 4-3 wild shootout victory over the Chicago Blackhawks in what was a very interesting game. A lot to talk about, but before we talk about it, I want to tell you about my favorite hamburger because I want to talk about... parlor and the iconic parlor burger which i've been telling you about for quite some time now man is it delicious and do you want to find out for yourself because if you do it's as simple as this scan the qr code and you can make a reservation at any of their three locations uh right down west 7th here in st paul from the arena if you're coming to a game uh perhaps the og location in the north loop in minneapolis or their newest edition which has been around since the summer now
in excelsior on water street that is a parlor try that parlor burger great service great food great drinks great fun at parlor i just made that up uh okay so age let's talk about it this was an atrocious start by the wild it was uh it was three nothing Early in the second period, I think the first two goals, we both agree, Teravainen and Donato were not Volstead's fault. The third goal was a bad goal, but then the Wild, starting with the Jakob Trenning goal, arguably the prettiest goal of the night. In the second period, at 12.33, makes it 3-1. Erickson Eck then makes it 3-2 early in the third period. And Jared Spurgeon ties it late at 3-3. We get through the OT. There's a penalty called on Matthew Baldy.
There's no goal scored in the OT session, although the Wild did shoot a few times. We'll get to that. And then we get a shootout in which Kuro Kaprizov scores the only goal. The Wild wins. We were going to do this show regardless. And I think it was going to be very easy to say, the Wild didn't show up. What was that? The building was not full. Felt pretty dead. But more importantly, the home team in the first period into the second period felt dead as well. But after that, man, it really changed. And this went from being what I thought was a pretty... a snore fest of a game to a game that in the third period and OT turned actually pretty intense was fun but a very very odd game I thought in how it sort of played out in its totality how about you yeah I mean it was a very weird game just from the start the wild I think it was about as bad of a five minutes to start the game as it could have been for them they look like lifelifts against the team that's lesser than them
They kind of just said, hey, here you go. Have a couple of shots on net. And it was a couple of bad clearances that ended up going against them in a couple good keeps, I guess, by the Blackhawks, but they find the back of the net 1-0. And I was like, okay, well, that better be a slap in the face and a wake-up call for them. It didn't really continue. The first period altogether was just pretty bad all around by the Wild.
