What's up everybody? Welcome to another episode of ELO's Matchup Maximizer, a podcast presented by Keeping Carlson Mariah, Elon Dubrovsky. Take a look at next week's NHL schedule. Try to figure out who are the teams and players we should be targeting to try to get the edge in our head-to-head matchups. We're looking for quantity here and quality. And of course, with the quantity, we want those games to be on days that we we can actually fit the player in. Otherwise, what's the point? Am I right? And next week, January 26th to February 1st is a bit of a doozy for streaming. It's, I guess, our classic. We've got a busy-ish Tuesday, 20 teams playing, super busy Thursday, super busy Saturday. So you're definitely not fitting in a streamer on Thursday, Saturday unless you have an open D-Spot.
Or like you roster 4D and then you happen to have 1D, you know, being benched. Like then maybe you can stream someone, but as far as forwards go, we're looking for maybe Tuesday Mike Cupfill team, keeping Carls and Ultra Patreon Fantasy League, the league I care about the most, even though there's not it's not even for money or anything. Uh I can't even fit a forward on Tuesday. And I'm at benching people. So it's actually a very frustrating situation. I'm gonna be having so many frustrating sit-start decisions, which I hate so much. Uh, but that's fantasy sometimes. Uh but let's see uh what we can do. All I know is I'm targeting Monday, Wednesday, Friday, or Sunday players. So for today's episode, I will be looking at the teams that play more than once on these off days.
So not that many of them, so it's not gonna be the longest episode. We're gonna be here for a good time, not necessarily a long time. Of course, if you could fit someone in on Tuesday, the world is a little bit more of your oyster. Because then you can grab a team like Boston, you know, plays Monday, Tuesday or LA or whatever, you know, and then you're getting then you can drop the player after that. I love that move of adding a Monday Tuesday guy, even if you can't fit them for the rest of the week. Boston knows Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday. So you could be potentially fitting three games in the Monday, Tuesday and the Sunday with your ad. So we'll look at them, but it's like again, a lot better if you can fit the Tuesday.
And that will depend on your roster. But okay, as far as the schedules for next week go. Mm. The number one is definitely the Columbus Blue Jackets. They have a new coach, Rick Bonus, and they're coming into a week with a great schedule. They're playing Monday against LA, Wednesday against Philly. That's a you can score some goals against Philly. Friday against Chicago. You can score some goals against Chicago. And then Saturday at St. Louis. So it's four games where they might be able to score a lot of goals, and three of them Monday, Wednesday, Friday on-off day games. So we're looking for some Columbus Blue Jackets. For next week, and lucky for us, there's generally like quite a few of them available. Like it depends how deep your league is, of course.
But you know, you're not getting Werensky, you're not getting Marchenko. After that, Fantilly, I'm sure you're not getting after that. Like, we're down to like less than 30% rostered on Yahoo. In Co Cupful, obviously your options are going to be a little bit more limited. We're a deeper league, but some names that you may want to look at. Well, okay, I don't want to give it away just yet. Let me share this. Let me show you the latest lines that have been going. on in Columbus with the new coach. And I'm recording this by the way Saturday afternoon. It's around 2 30. So the game against Tampa Bay has not been played yet. But I can tell you that the plan for today is to roll Fantilli, Marchenko, and Marchmont on the top line.
