Yeah, I had a really good time last episode. Uh we went through Anaheim to Detroit, covering all the fantasy impacts of all the trades and free agent acquisitions and everything else that happened. And we're just gonna continue on through the league. And of course, one thing that Brian mentioned is the Leo Carlson offer sheet match. We obviously spent a long time talking about it last week. I'm like curious now, and we'll get to Philly, I guess, later because we're going alphabetically here. Here. Do you think that Philly regrets it now just because they have a couple RFAs in Trevor Zegris and Jamie Drysdale? I was just wondering, like, they've upped the market. Now they're like, well, if Leo Carlson is worth twenty million, then Trevor Ziegris is like, well, okay, I mean, I thought I was worth like eight million, but if Leo Carlson is twenty, then I should be at least ten.
I'm like half of a like, I wonder if Philly at the end of the day was like so fun and exciting and great for Leo Carlson, of course, becoming the highest paid player in the year. NHL, but I just wonder if maybe they're like, huh, maybe maybe we shouldn't have done that after all. Or maybe they're just like, whatever, it was it was worthwhile for some reason. It was worthwhile.
It's a good point. Like if I know that you're willing to offer that guy eighteen million dollars and you want me to work for you, then I uh I might have some feelings about what you're offering me. And like, yes, it's very apparent. I mean, we could you could talk about how, you know, if I were the employer, I'd be like, Well, you know, we we made it we pay we were working to overpay strategically to make it difficult and we had to do it. This way and that way. But like I feel you, Elon. Uh it's a funny thing that I hadn't thought about really until you mention it now. It's like the rest of the team still needs to get paid. The rest of the employees need to get paid by their employer, and they see how ready and willing their employer was to drop almost 20 mil on a guy from another team who's never, you know, played uh w worn the the orange and black adjustment.
