I said, but what you don't appreciate here is that they've been allowed to assemble an illegal roster through purchasing power because they were cheating. Now, the NRL didn't agree with me. They said as long as they get back under the cap, which all the players did. except one, and they got under there and they stayed together. They won the comp in 2004, at which point they all went straight back out to market to get what basically was their true value again. And the Bulldogs fell apart, which is why they didn't win or didn't make the finals in 2005, because they lost so many players. The fact is, now, to my point, When Melbourne got caught in 2010, by then the NRL had actually seen what had happened with the Bulldogs and said, look, no one's taking a pay cut.
What you're on the cap for right now is what you're on the cap for. The only way you can get back under the cap, Melbourne, is by actually getting rid of players. So the NRL actually learned... their mistake from the Bulldogs. I wasn't wrong. I knew that 2002, 2004 were different seasons, but Canterbury were allowed to illegally assemble that roster because they were offering money that other clubs couldn't offer players because they were cheating. So that's my point. So whoever that bloke is, I'm not off my head. I probably just got shit on my liver.
