Emily uh um did four thirty-six point five Canadian nationals this is the best forty-sevens we'd ever seen at any world championship and if if they were stronger than they were at their nationals, they would be four fifty, they could maybe and lease. So um it didn't work out that way, but it was a possibility. What were you thinking coming into this world championships, were you thinking my God, this is gonna be a close battle or were you thinking they're they're great, they're gonna do amazing, but I'm a degree better.
Yeah. Um well you know, this year the forty seventh category class was such amazing with big total announced. And I know uh it's gonna be uh a battle with Leon and Amelie, so I come to the competition and say to me, Okay, you you didn't lose this time. But you know, it's very very close with the others. So no, yeah, you know, it's they I think it's really helped me because sh they can push me to do the best and you No, uh it's why I broke the World Record Total because in my head I was like, No they can't pull they can pull two thirty or everything to to catch me the first place, so yeah.

And even when Waskar came in and he was exciting, he was colorful, he didn't have anyone else to push him. There was no rivalry, there was no excitement, and he was looking for something, but he couldn't have it. This was the greatest fifty nine kilo battle in the history of the IPF, period. First off, it just happened. Um so did you guys know coming into this, what was your expectations in terms of just the battle and what you were expecting from each other?

I think that I was I was expecting I was expecting Ivan's best, right? And that's what we saw today. Um I pretty much had him at two twenty, one fifty, two eighty. Um that's what the calculations had played out. And in my head there was no way he was pulling more than two eighty five, right? Two ninety, impossible.
