Chapter 1: What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
Another podcast from some SNL late-night comedy guy? Not quite! On Humor Me with Robert Smigel and Friends, me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier. This week, my guests, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel, help an acapella band with their between-songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter. Listen to Humor Me with Robert Smigel and friends on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas. And I'm CJ Toledano. It's our favorite time of the year on our podcast point game, The Playoffs.
We're digging into the biggest surprises of the season, and I'm looking back on some of my greatest playoff moments. If we didn't talk ever again, I was crying. You just understood. That's how personal it got. Wow. Then after that game seven, Marquis coming to me, he's like, you know I love you, dog. You know it's all love. This was just playoffs. This was just basketball.
So listen to Point Game on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Hey, I'm Diana Maria Riva, and on my new podcast, How Hard Can It Be?, I call on my Gen X squad from Ohio to Hollywood as we navigate midlife's most fantastic BS. Unfiltered conversations from night sweats to fupas to scheduling sex. Wait, what sex?
Is it just me, or does every woman my age want to look at Pinterest instead of having sex sometimes?
Ha ha ha! They say we can't polish a turd, but we're sure going to try. So let's get blunt with laughs, tears, or tears of laughter. Listen to How Hard Can It Be with Diana Maria Riva on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
American soccer is about to explode. The World Cup is coming. Ramos sending on Ernie Stewart.
The chip scores.

Chapter 2: What old country words are discussed in the episode?
No. Have we ever been to a Bad Bunny concert? No, but we've been to Kid Rock with Matt Bevin. And he was wearing all denim.
Was that the Canadian tuxedo where he's giving you the death stare?
Was that now that one that goes in the other direction? He wanted to kill us at the Republic. But I'm saying Amy McGrath. Once again, she got me fired and she just wore me out with commercials. She got me fired. That's that's a you might be like a onesie in this when you really break it down. How can you do that to a fighter pilot? And a mother. And a mother.
And a soccer coach.
It was just Mother's Day two days ago. Sorry. Amy McGrath beats Matt Bevin in probably a surprise in most people's brackets. This is the first time she's won. Yes. That's mean.
That's mean.

Chapter 3: Who are the biggest KSR villains of all time?
What? Angry last season Calipari versus technical difficulties. I got to go technical difficulties. They went over everything. Because even when Calipari was mad and trying to also get me fired, I still wanted him to win. Right? I loved that last team. And I had a good history. And I had a long history with him. Technical difficulties always. And they haven't left.
Yeah, they've been our nemesis for 20 years. Yes. So technical difficulties are going to move on. Greg Marshall's wife... Uh-oh. Wondered if she'd make the cut.
Chapter 4: What are the rules for the KSR Villain Bracket?
Against Mark Maggard. An odd matchup. It is. Greg Marshall's wife... got Drew kicked out of the NCAA tournament. Tried. She ended up being the one getting kicked out. But also got him on Inside Edition. Yeah.
She also yelled some awful things at our players that I couldn't believe a coach's wife, who is kind of like a motherly figure to these teams, was yelling at, I remember Monk and Briscoe especially. Yes. But Mark Maggard, first five years of KSR, was enemy number one. And I know some people that paid for his subscription and didn't get that money back. I know them personally.
He also, though, for about four or five months wrote on KSR, which people forget. He pops on KS Board occasionally. I'm going with Greg Marshall's wife. Because she also went after KSR and UK collectively. But did make you famous for a day. I was famous. What's that international newspaper over in the Guardian? I was in that. You're in the Guardian.
Chapter 5: How do historical villains compare in the KSR bracket?
Is that in the UK? All right, Shannon. John Higgins versus my mentions on Twitter. That's a tough one. That's a good one. Those mentions come at you every day, and they're brutal. Every day. Yeah. Your mentions didn't cost us a title. But John Higgins cost us a title. And sued you. And legal fees. Yeah. And we were on the cover of Sports Illustrated.
And that Times Square scroll thing with the news. Yes. I remember that. That's when I knew we were big time. And the picture of Drew on SportsCenter in the plane landing goggles. See, I kind of like that. I still laugh at that. That's actually a plus for him. This is a really tough one. Still take easy him. This is touch. Leave aside our connection.
Just the calls that he messed up against Kentucky, that's enough for me. I'm taking Higgins.
It's like an 8-9 matchup almost.
Higgins. I'm taking Higgins because my bank account. That was when I didn't have a lot of money and I had to spend it all on that stupid legal fees. Dan Dockich versus people calling in for Reds tickets.
We already did that, but you asked for it today.
They're sympathetic figures today after Shannon, what he did to Sean. Yes. And Dan Dockich. just came up to me at a game, said hello, and then went on the radio and said that he asked me to fight and I was scared of him. When literally all he said was hello. Also, remember, he went at Oscar Combs. You don't go at Oscar Combs.
He went at Oscar Combs. That's a deal breaker for me.
He's always saying bad things about UK fan. So I'll take Dockage. But that's not a thing for you all to call for Reds tickets. Mitch McConnell, Michael Bennett.

Chapter 6: What controversies surround Tom Jurich and his villain status?
That's quite a move. It's quite a strong move on your friend. Michael's always been nice to me. He's fine. We gave him an obituary on the air. We literally gave a tribute. And we had to bring him back the next segment. That's the first time I've seen Shannon show some emotion and support. Yeah. But I'm still moving Mitch on for obvious reasons. Jurich. Now we're in the second round.
Jurich, Seth Greenberg. I think this is a pretty... This is one of those... One versus 8-9, 8-9, and then loses by 20. It's Jurich, right?
Yeah.
I'd go Greenberg. You would go Greenberg? Yeah. I mean, you ruined College Game Day for me. I haven't watched it in three years.
I used to love that show. Wow.
He got like one tweet from an anonymous UK fan that was bad. He acted like all of BBN is the worst on Twitter because one dude without a picture DM'd him.
Yeah.
He randomly messages people I know out of the blue to tell them, you know, just complain about Cal things. Easily Greenberg for me. Wow. All right, George, but a second half comeback from Seth. Yesterday, I sat down to watch the combine scrimmages. And it was just him. There's like a Greenberg podcast. Amy McGrath versus Technical Difficulties. Both pull you off the air. That's true.
They both do pull us off the air. I'm going to go Technical Difficulties because Amy pulling me off the air allowed me to write my book, and I got a big payout with that. So technical difficulties never do anything that make me happy.

Chapter 7: What makes Seth Greenberg a notable villain in KSR history?
I think if you were to say to me, what are the four things over the years that have annoyed me most? This is it. By the way, shout out to the person that suggested this. Great premise. And all the names they came up with were great. That's true. This is like from the entire history. I mean, you really did pick out the perfect things here. We'll take a break. We'll take your calls.
We'll also pick our winner of the all-time KSR villain next. Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy. Not quite. On Humor Me with Robert Smigel and Friends, me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier. This week, my guests, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel, help an acapella band with their between songs banter.

On the podcast Cultivating Her Space, Dr. Dom and Terry Lomax create a space where Black women can show up fully and be heard. I wholeheartedly think, you know, you hit 30, you shouldn't have to share a room with anybody. From navigating friendships and healing to setting boundaries and prioritizing your mental health. These are real, honest conversations we don't always get to have out loud.
totally unreasonable with different parts of life, right? Like, oh, have all three meals and make sure you're mindful during all of them. Absolutely not. During one meal, I'm standing and handing my children food. Because healing, empowerment, and resilience aren't just ideas. They're practices. And this Mental Health Awareness Month, there's no better time to pour back into yourself.
Listen to Cultivating Her Space on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, I'm Jared Arano. You might know me as that loud guy who yells out, help on the internet. Help!
Somebody, please!
But there's so much more to me than that. I'm an actor. I'm a comedian. And recently, I've become quite the helper myself. And on my new podcast, Hope from a Hypocrite, I'll be changing lives, helping people in need with my sage advice and thoughtful solutions. Psych, I'm a comedian. I'm not qualified to give good advice.
Join me and my comedian friends as we riff rant and recommend some of the most legally dubious advice known to man. If I'm calling you, even if you're on your phone, let it ring twice. One ring is too scary.

Chapter 8: How did Matt Bevin impact the KSR community?
Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. That would have been a good one. Bob in Jamestown. I wondered when you were talking about getting annoyed if he would make the list. Bob in Jamestown did not make the list. Pat Forty.
Yeah.
That would have been a good one. I still think we got the right ones, though.
Pete Thamoto.
Oh, the Hamilton, yeah. That's right. That's right. Yeah, he's the only one that we got to watch DeMarcus confront. That was fun.
What was the other name you used to always say? Was it Dana O'Neill?
Yeah, yeah. That was more of a Cal thing, though. I didn't really have anything against her. That was more of Cal really didn't like her. All right, final four. Jurich versus technical difficulty. Both have caused this show lots of heartache over the years. He might have even been behind some of the technical difficulties back in the day.
I once had to stand up at a remote, I think at Red State Barbecue in Georgetown. And you remember when I had to read that apology? Earl made me read an apology to Tom Jurich. And honestly, if we hadn't had the remote scheduled that day, I might have quit. But there were like 100 people at the remote.
Red State was one of our biggest advertisers, and I just didn't feel like I could just 10 minutes before quit the show. But I was close, and I had to get up there and read that. And if you were at the remote, you may remember I rolled my eyes and acted like I'm ā just so people know, I do not mean any of this. Yeah, I'm being forced to read off this property. I'm being forced to read this.
