The 13th of May, 2018, was set aside for cramming in the Creasal household. Fourteen-year-old Anna had end-of-term exams around the corner. Some last-minute swatting was needed, and Geraldine, Anna's mother, could help. But Anna thought her mother must be tired. Studying was put on the long finger as mother and daughter cuddled up together to eat popcorn and watch a movie. She chose Alvin and the Chipmunks. Later they were busy, family came over, pizzas were ordered, and chatter and laughter spilled out from the house and into the garden.
