Sarah, my friend. today in you know broncos country although there's a lot of talk there's a lot of discussion monday was a big day for broncos country because the team officially announced their new uniforms the months of speculation the months of the mock-ups are all finished going into thursday's nfl draft the broncos first round draft pick if they choose to stay there will more than likely be rocking a brand new uniform come thursday a lot of excitement i feel like a lot of mixed reviews here in broncos country but new uniforms are here and there's some uh you know good news there with that
them there's really good news with it Cody I mean it's let's just touch on the fact that it's the first time I mean I guess in a lot of Broncos countries lifetimes that we've seen a new uniform for this team I mean it's been almost 30 years since the Broncos unveiled those uniforms that they won back-to-back Super Bowls with back in the 97 season and that was like my childhood that That was the uniform that I like when I became a fan of the Broncos. That was the uniform they were wearing. So I never really knew the Orange Crush uniforms all that much. But I love this new redesign, Cody. I mean, you know me. I went on rants on this podcast about the white helmets with the color rush. And I'm not trying to tow the company line or anything.
That's the thing I've been most accused of. On Twitter these days is like you would have liked anything or you would, you know, you you're just saying that you like it because of the team, blah, blah, blah. No, I really like the redesign. I think they nailed it, Cody. And I think that the Broncos ultimately they put years worth of thought into this. Right. And it's just it was always going to be met with a ton of pushback. But I think they just the details on it. Really nice. I love the change up in the number font, the matte blue helmets. I mean, everything just it's just a clean, clean look. I've already got the white PS2 jersey on the way for me and my son. So, hey, I'm digging these. And I think the Broncos crushed it.
Well, you know, I think a lot of it too, the feedback in the team president, Damani Leach said that factored in over 10,000 fan survey results, a large portion of Broncos country, one of the team logo to remain the same, one of the base color of the team to remain the same, which is the case. It's just, you know, like I said, the helmet, as you mentioned, is a matte blue, which is a nice look on it. We'll take a look here, obviously at the orange uniforms here for the Broncos. To be honest with you, I liked the home version. You're going to get the matte blue helmet. you're going to get the orange jersey and the white pants. I think that's a better-looking version of the overall orange jersey because, I mean, Denver, for the last ever handful of years, there was the change there where they went orange and white as their primary home.
