Why do I think Jack Antonoff gave me the flu at the Emmy weekend?

Gabby Windey 0:00
And hello. And welcome back to another episode of I Told You We Shouldn't Have Left The House. Because now we have flu B and Jack Antinoff probably gave it to us because he is dirty. And we were by a stroke of bad luck in the same vicinity as him, and there's no other reason that could be explained. So I have a tickle in my throat. I'm on two Motrin, one large vitamin C with uh zinc and vitamin D and an oscillium, something or another. Uh

Nardo's here with us today because he will not leave me alone. You know
Gabby Windey 1:03
what he wants to do. He wants to go for a W A L K. But just not right now. Mama has work to do and she has fleur B. So what about that? But my lungs can't expand at the capacity that they're supposed to because the alveoli are a little more squished and constricted and I don't know if she can make it up the hill today.

He doesn't care. So I brought him. Huh, Nardo, we see. He needs a groom. We see. Ooh.

Okay, enough with the small talk. Enough with the busy work. Enough with the bureaucracy. Um I watch the Emmys well, I watch the red carpet. I watch like I watched like the last hour and a half of the red carpet out of three. I I looked up the other people on Instagram that I thought I missed and then I was kind of in and out of the Emmys. But I got I I got most of it. So I am here to report Felicity Hoffman looks amazing. Like she hasn't aged at all. I don't even know if that's her last name because she played she played Felicity. She has her own show. Felicity Huffman, excuse me. Oh my god, it's not her. Oh my god, what's her name? Felicity.
Gabby Windey 2:32
What if her name isn't even Felicity? Ah Carrie Wess Carrie Russell. Excuse me. I didn't know that was Carrie Russell. I didn't know. I mean, I knew who uh Carrie Russell was, but I didn't know this was a Carrie Russell. So Felicity Huffman looked amazing. But um I didn't even recognize her husband who's in Widows Bay and they swept. Um, and he was in another show and who would have thunk he popped up out of nowhere, which we all only just learned together who he was and that he is Carrie Russell's husband and that he is an actor. Um, and he was pretty good. We didn't in Widows Bay. I mean, we didn't finish the show. Like everyone's like, It's so good, it's so good, you know, you should watch it. So, but we watched the first like six and a half episodes.

Um, though it's like I do have to be honest, I think we kind of got the point in the beginning. And and so it's like I know the last baby in the painting still has that old dead guy, weird trolls blood. So the island won't be healed until whoever that baby is as a grown up is thrown off the island as well. And who's who knows who he is? It could be anyone. Um but Maybe it's the sailor, maybe it's the captain of the ship. But Bertisha was amazing. She was the best part of the show, which I feel like everybody agreed upon. She was incredible. And they did sweep. They got like 14 Emmys. And who am I? I am no critic. You know, I barely even go here. I'm just a person and and this is just a comedy podcast and it has no credibility and people should not take what I have to say seriously or even think about it after it is said or while it is said.
Gabby Windey 4:13
But I don't think it's as much a testament to The show, I think it is a testament to how bad TV is right now and that there's no other competition. Sorry, I mean it was a good show, but I don't know if it would have gotten fourteen Emmys if there was other competition. Uh and I know there's probably a huge twist that I'm never gonna know and that's okay. Uh, Shailene Woodley, her her stylist did her. What is dirtier than dirty? Filthy, filthy. And you know, Balenciaga for that matter. I don't know what was going on or why it was even an option brought to her. And normally she does look so hot. So you know, someone was like, Well, you need to surprise people, you need to kick people on their toes, you need to have people talking about you.
Gabby Windey 5:01
And this was the way to go. And actually that is grounds for sabotage and for jail. And I would fire every single person after that. You know, that is grounds for firing and public humiliation, like she had gone through herself and her hair person, it wasn't even a slick back low ponytail.
