Hello listeners, welcome back to Luke's English Podcast. This is episode 1001, and Luke's English Podcast is back after a fairly long absence. But we are back again. Hello. How are you doing? Are you ho b uh uh uh b uh Can I remember how to do this? Yes I can. It's been about three weeks. Can I remember how to do this? I mean podcasting, but also can I remember how to speak my own language? I hope so. Anyway, Luke's English Podcast is back. Yay! That's all the listeners all applauding. Um if there are still listeners out there subscribe to this podcast, maybe you've all moved on to something else. Uh but Luke's English Podcast is back and the summer holidays are over and uh it's back to business again. The kids are are are in school now, so I can finally actually get some work done.
Uh my daughter went back to to her school. Fine. Uh my son started school this week for the first time. No crash anymore, no more nursery. Now he's gone to school. I mean it's kind of preschool, but it is different. It is still school, and he's in a school with a bunch of kids he's never met before, teachers he doesn't know. Um, and this w this is his second day. And this morning I dropped him off at school. I stayed with him in the classroom for about fifteen minutes, and he was glued to me. He was stuck to me like glue. Admittedly, the school is fantastic, the classroom Room is lovely, there are loads of different things, all sorts of activities and books and pens and pencils, and it's just a really cute place with a lovely atmosphere, lots of toys that he was playing with, just lining up all these different cars.
But of course, when it was time for me to go, the teacher was like, I think it's time to go now, and the parents started leaving. Um, the children. Some of the children were fine, uh, but some of The other kids, including my son, um, didn't take it very well. And my poor boy was in floods of tears. You know, s just crying as I left the room. It's heartbreaking. But um you know, that's that's all part of life, isn't it? Do you remember your first day at school? Do you remember I remember my first day at primary school? I've mentioned it before. I was in floods of tears and they had to sort of drag me into the building. And I turned out okay, didn't I? I think so. Anyway, That's what that's what happened this morning just before I started doing this.
