Chapter 1: What major events unfolded in the latest episode of Married At First Sight?
Hello and welcome back to the Maths Funny Podcast and congratulations guys, you have made it through the first week of season 13 and F me, tonight's episode was exhausting, is that the right word here?
Away from the brief glimpse at potential happiness with Rebecca and Steve, it was mostly just a shit show and you know how every season like at the start we're kind of hopeful for multiple couples like... I feel like I'm not hopeful for any except Rebecca and Steve right now.
And tonight I'm going to answer one big question that I know a lot of you have, and that's what happens next between Rachel and Steven after her huge crash out at their honeymoon? And is there any salvaging their already barely there connection? Right. Tonight, I'm just going to jump straight to the spoiler here.
So skip like 60 seconds or so if you don't want to know what happens between Rachel and Stephen. And, you know, is their future bright? Can they come back from this honeymoon saga where he made a joke and she didn't find it funny? And the answer, I think, is no.
nah and i know that because i was around the filming of the show as you know quite a bit towards the start of the season last year especially those first weeks when everyone moved in together and i saw the couples all one by one going to woolies going to the beach going to whatever and did i see these two once Nah, literally not at all.
So I'm just going to call it now and say I'm fairly sure they are one of, if not the, first couple to leave. And, you know, following tonight's honeymoon drama, I believe it's only going to get worse for them. And if you haven't watched tonight's episode yet, here's basically a summary of what went down because...
it was baffling and it all started with rachel talking about her love of going to the afl and stephen then joked like asking like oh do you do you turn into like a hooligan and are you screaming from the stands with all the blokes who are there and you know getting really into it and crazy and you know that's a bit like we all get watching maths you know screaming at our tvs because let's be honest nothing quite unites australia like screaming at our tvs judging the brides and grooms
And like initially, Rachel seemed to understand that Stephen was joking.
I just get really excited. I think that's the best way to describe it. I just need to know because I know from a male's perspective being an animal guy. Yeah. that when people get really passionate about sports, they just turn into, oh, morals go faster. I'm wondering, you're going to be like, oh, ladylike. I'm a sophisticated lady, I'm ladylike.

Chapter 2: What happened between Rachel and Steven during their honeymoon?
And I don't want you to go painting me in this like, negative, huge lie.
And the scene then ended with her storming off because it reminded her of all the other times in her life she's apparently had to, and I quote, moderate herself around people to shrink her personality so they didn't think she was full on or didn't think she was a certain way or whatever.
And like, if that seemingly harmless joke makes her break down in tears like that and provoke such a strong reaction... Wait until she finds out that some of the other couples got a honeymoon in Fiji and she got sent to a field in Mudgee because if anything deserves tears, it's that.
I thought we were having a good time. Turned pear-shaped really quickly.
Also, before I move on from this couple, I've just scrolled down old mate Stephen's Instagram and found a load of pictures of him as an emo years ago, which...
are just incredible and i've just posted them to my maths funny instagram so please look and he also used to be in a western sydney-based punk band called paradox park which some of you may remember from their ep titled beautiful death now take a listen to steven in action Old Mate played the bass and backing vocals for Anyone Wondering.
They did break up years ago and if anyone's hoping for a reunion tour, maybe hit Steven up, you could probably book him for your wedding.
Rejection-based trauma seems to be like a running theme in tonight's episode, and we've just caught up with Beck and Danny, and I've just watched Beck just full-on fuming that, you know, he's not into her, the sex was shit, and she's been accusing him of checking out another woman, and the episode's just ended with her, just like Rachel, fully crashing out.
You don't think I'm ready for this? You can f***ing ride off, man.

Chapter 3: Why is there a lack of hope for the couples this season?
He said he doesn't want a woman who is needy, has fake tan or is overweight, which is quite ironic because like all women just don't want a man who is Chris. And actually, I will say one thing about Chris. And I was thinking tonight, I should love him because he is so anti the relationship experts and he calls them out on their bullshit and he's so cynical about the show.
And he is right with most of what he's saying regarding them.
My God, he's such a flop overall with just everything else about him that that one good thing about him and his reluctance to just go with the shit the experts and the producers say, it just isn't enough to make me even like him in the slightest, which is a shame because usually I would back anyone this anti-expert, but Chris, I'm sorry, I just can't do it. Anyway, that's all for now.
I will see you when the next episode airs or when there's something else to talk about on this podcast. So make sure you're subscribed, Spotify, Apple, wherever you listen. Please drop a rating if you're enjoying the pod. That does help me out. And tell your mate, I feel desperate now. Please tell your friends, please share. Nah, if you enjoyed the pod though, yeah, just keep supporting.
I do appreciate it and have a lovely weekend. See ya.
