With broadband technologies rapidly advancing, a lot of people are asking, does Tetra still have a future? Today we're speaking with a person helping define what that future looks like on a global scale. He's the TCCA board member and holds a strategic role at Leonardo Cyber and Security Solutions. But today he joins us in his capacity as the chair of the Tetra Industry Group. Francesco Pascali, it's great to have you here. started could you just tell us a bit more about yourself and the work you're leading in the Tetra industry group?
Okay, thanks Lona and Stuart and Dan for uh first of all for the opportunity, uh, which is pretty appreciated. Okay, as you said, my name is Francesco Pasquale, and uh I have been working in the critical comms industries for about 30 years. I have been working uh in all the let's say the the bodies, the institutions who have developed Critical comm standard along the last three decades.
How does the TIG describe the current market reality versus perception of TETRA?
I mean, uh like Etsy and TCCA mainly. Today I am, as you said, not just a board member of the TCCA, but uh I am especially the chair of the Tetraindest Group, which is within the TCCA working group, reporting to the to the board, of course, and open to all TCCA members involved. In the development and production of tetra equipment and solutions. Basically, the TIG is a business strategy group which has the mission to promote tetrotechnology and its evolution. As well as uh share the industry priorities and perspectives with an eye onto the evolving needs of end users, of course, as you as always. Uh the TIG was born about 10 years ago from the ashes of what was previously known as uh small and medium enterprises group, that at that time was used to represent the interests of small and medium.
Medium enterprises against, let's say, the large ones, especially in terms of intellectual property rights. Since that its creation, where the group was enlarged, was extended to the big industries, basically, Leonardo, Motorola, and Derbas, the TIG has always been a lively community. And today it continues to expand. Demonstrating the continued and renovated interest and willingness to invest in tetra technology of the international industry community. For instance, this year we welcomed a new member, which is Teltronic from Spain. TIG, of course, today, as said, is a lively community. We have 10 industry members. And uh TIG continuously worked together with other working groups inside the TCCA, but not only.
It only well it also works continuously in close cooperation uh with Etsy and in particular in particular with the technical committee that in Etsy has the duty uh for the evolution of the tetra standard.
