M is Paul Lee today. So Keisha, who is our new EP and who you might have heard on subscriber episodes, is jumping in the M chair. And yeah, I've got some questions for you in a minute. Oh, I've got s a big seat to fill. Uh
Keeshia Pettit 0:54
what you say, sorry. Big big boots to fill. Uh what is the phrase? Yes. Yeah, fill. Who knows? It's Friday. Here's what's made our agenda for today. Could a time affluence make you feel more rich? Is free time a status symbol now?

And things men universally like. We would never generalize on this show, not antigender stereotypes, but we need to talk about how men love aeroplanes. They like throwing rocks into large bodies of water and um they like doing a little knock on the wall to check its structural integrity when they walk into a room.

And we have a documentary, A Kitchen Gabbit Gabbit. This is really going well. This Friday show is really going well. We have a documentary, a kitchen gadget, and the best beauty thing I've bought in ages. That's our Friday recommendations. But first, hey Keisha. Welcome to Outloud Officially because you haven't been on the main show yet, right? And the Outlouders are getting to hear you for the first time. Now some of them will know you because you uh came to us from Life Uncut and you worked in radio for a long time before that. So some of them will h will know your voice and they'll be like, Yay, quies, quiche.

going. Last week I spoke with Lee Campbell from UBea and she said, Yeah, starting here is kind of like it's like drinking from a fire hydrant, isn't it? And I was like, yes. And it I think that that is a perfect descriptor, but in every good way. Like it's been really It's been very intense in a positive way. And I just think this team they're so brilliant and everyone is very creative and very efficient. Like
Amelia Lester 2:59
Is it weird because um you came from Life on Cut Brilliant, Brilliant Podcast and you worked really closely with the hosts. This is like you're coming into a big office. Like have you worked in an office for a while like
Keeshia Pettit 3:13
Not where have you ever experienced this? I worked in radio, like in a radio office.

Why do the hosts call certain coworkers “office pingers” and how does that affect workplace dynamics?

Keeshia Pettit 3:19
So it was kind of office adjacent. But the systems, and that was kind of the thing that I was a little bit, it might sound a little silly, but the thing I was a little bit anxious about was having to learn new processes. I don't have the type of brain that is particularly good with admin, and and doing things in like a structured way is not something that comes naturally to me. And so when I started here, The phrase Slack attack. So Slack is the messaging platform that we use here at Mumma Me. Yeah. I've never used it before. Previously, I'd used WhatsApp, iMessage, Instagram, and Good Hope. You know, like just the hope that the message would somehow get through. Like just the hope. And so Slack. I really did experience like the Slack attack is what everyone re refers to it as.
Holly Wainwright 4:00
There are like a million channels, just to paint a picture. We have this system called Slack. I'm sure lots of people who work in offices who are listening have some kind of equivalent system or Slack itself.
