Chapter 1: What is discussed at the start of this section?
This is an iHeart Podcast. Guaranteed human.
I'm Daniel Alarcón, and this is my friend who's much more famous than I am. I wouldn't go that far, but I'm John Green, co-host of the podcast The Away End with my old friend Daniel.
On our podcast The Away End, we'll share with you the magic of international football, all leading up to the 2026 World Cup. Together, we'll find out why, of all the unimportant things, football, soccer, is the most important.
Listen to The Away End with Daniel Alarcon and John Green on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
I'm Daniel Jeremiah. And I am Greg Rosenthal. I know that, Greg. We're teaming up on 40s and Free Agents, the podcast that owns the NFL offseason.
This is where teams are built. Free agency, combine, pro days, trades. Every move matters.
From my draft boards and mock drafts. To my vaunted top 101 free agents and how rosters come together. Quarterback movement. Surprise signings. We'll tell you what it means and who really wins. Open your free iHeartRadio app, search 40s and free agents, and listen now.
This is Julian Edelman, host of Games With Names. On our latest episode, we got comedian Blake Anderson from Workaholics and the hilarious This Is Important podcast. Let's go! We did beat them in improv.
You had an improv against the team? Yes, we would pull up their schools, would be there with signs for us. It's competition. What you would win is a bottle of Goldschlager. James Fester threw it out of a van because he didn't want us drinking it. For more Games With Names, visit the iHeartRadio app or wherever you get your podcasts.

Chapter 2: How do the hosts feel about the Tory Lanez verdict?
Went to see the family. I got one of my favorite Christmas gifts ever from my nephew and my sister. They bought me like, it's called like a, I thought it was like a smoking jacket, like a cigar coat. Okay. But it's like a house, it's called a house coat. It's kind of like a robe. I was going to say. It's a little thicker than a robe. It's a little more stylish. Got you.
One of the best Christmas gifts ever because I'm a house person. Oh God, I had so much fun wearing that thing yesterday. Would you wear it to Astor Club? No, I don't want it to smell like smoke. I don't want it to be filled with- So it's not a smoking jacket. It's not a smoking jacket, but it's heavy like a smoking jacket, but it's stylish. It's comfortable.
It's kind of like a cool robe to wear in the house. It's not like the typical robe. It's kind of got some style, some swag to it. That was one of my favorite Christmas gifts only because I love being in the house and that's perfect for me.
Okay. And did the lump sum of cash work out with your nephew?
Yeah. I mean, he asked me for 20 bands. Had to give him all singles. 20 bands, all singles. My nephew, yo, he's at this age, man, where it's fun watching him learn about just new things and remembering back to when you was a child at that age. So it's like seeing it all over again. So he's at that age. We play video games. It's crazy how kids are still playing Mario Brothers.
Yeah, I mean, some things are timeless. Yeah, so we played Mario Brothers for like 10 hours on his Nintendo Switch. I did that with my niece. Yeah, I had fun playing that. And I realized how much I suck now. My muscle memory in Mario is terrible. I act like I don't know that I can't just run into the ducks and things like that, jump on them. But as you start playing, you get your muscle memory.
My nephew was looking at me like, oh, you played this before. I'm looking at him like, you have no idea. I just now take a different type of mushrooms.
Yeah, yeah.
My life has progressed. And the pipes that I run down. Oh, man.

Chapter 3: What are the implications of the Tory Lanez trial on public perception?
That was debated for all of four seconds before Lake and Maul went on a 75 text rant back and forth. Yeah, man. Rehaving their same exact conversation. I put my phone down.
Because they know what they're doing. Rory, I'm sorry. 75 text messages later. Rory, I apologize, bro. I'm trying.
I'm working on it. Did someone go through my DMs again? In 2023...
In 2023, I promise you, I'm going to work on not debating Mike and LeBron. I promise you I'm going to work on it. It's an addiction for both of you. It is, man. Because you know why? It's the disrespect, the blasphemy that comes from the brains of some of the most, you know, the great music minds that we have as friends. I know.
I just don't understand how these guys- I feel like this year would be harder for you. 23, 24.
yeah no i'm gonna let the year speak for itself because you can't you can't say the number 23 and not think of that's what i'm saying you guys don't add in you know you guys are the sports guys so in those debates i can only add in the non-sports brain factors and stuff and you guys for example we're debating if scotty pippen with these new rules would average more than 20 and i'm throwing in the wild card that in this era future sits courtside yeah
So it's way different than in the 90s. Yeah, when you start to add those little attributes. Those are important things.
Yeah. Regular season game, future just chilling right there. Yeah, that's the monkey wrench in the game right there.
And we saw how sensitive Scottie can be. Oh, yeah. You throw future just chilling. yeah with his music playing in the arena yeah yes you know what i'll add a wild card that's even crazier not future with scotty's ex-wife with a different girl like now my ex-wife is cheating on me and you're cheating on my ex-wife with another girl at my game yeah he's averaging four points michael

Chapter 4: Why is it important to believe Black women in the context of this case?
uh what was that clip michael mcdonald no no no it was uh uh what's the what's my man's name rb do i look kenny latimore oh yeah okay yo mike was going crazy in the back of the bus to the new kenny ladder and then he told the guys yeah i ain't got this yet it didn't come out mike i promise you them niggas did not want that one That's the new Lattimore right there?
Yo, you think Scottie Piven's kid that might have had the Kenny Lattimore album before it came out? Yeah. Man, Scottie didn't give a fuck about that shit.
Why don't they discuss that? Because we know the subtle rivalry that rappers and athletes have, specifically when it comes to women.
Yeah.
They play a lot of rap music during the game now. See, that's the difference. Like bringing the ball up, you could hear your favorite rapper. See, that's the difference.
And these guys don't like the rappers. That's the difference with Mike. Mike was coming into the game listening to Kenny Lattimore. Yeah. Chilling. All right, first of all, Kenny was definitely fucking a lot of the NBA stars.
No, no, no. I'm not saying he... I'm just talking about the energy, the frequency. It was just... Now these niggas... Don't think Al B. Schur wasn't taking down the whole Pistons. No, no, no. Oh, for sure.
Trust me. I'm pretty sure he was. I'm just saying Mike was just coming into the arena on a different frequency. Kenny Lattimore on his ears. You know what I'm saying? These niggas now, they got all this drill shit. Yeah. All this kill shit.
And you can't foul.

Chapter 5: What are the implications of Drake's timestamp records?
He's got his hair braided. No clocks in Turks. That Middle of the Ocean record is one of his best records.
That's a timestamp record too.
That's a timestamp record.
That's a time middle of the ocean. All he had to do was say 315 Middle of the Ocean. It's a time stamp. You can't fool me. When you let Drake just go and there's no hook, that's a time stamp record, bro. I mean, Middle of the Ocean, he was definitely on a yacht with a clock. Of course.
He could have time stamped.
Of course. He just forgot what time he made it.

Chapter 6: How do the hosts compare Drake and Kendrick's music styles?
He gave it to 21. Middle of the Ocean is definitely a time stamp record. I don't give a fuck what nobody says. That's a time stamp record. I suppose. It's not a hook and site. That's a time stamp record. But again, you know, you didn't want to timestamp it. But like I said, I can take all of Drake's timestamp records and into a versus with any of these rappers y'all talking about.
And it's not going to be an easy night. What's the versus grounds? It's just like rapping, like freestyle? Yeah, give me the best bars. Because I feel like Kendrick doesn't do that type of rap. You could say the Heart series to some degree is like that, but it'd be hard to compare. I don't think you could do a timestamp versus with Kendrick because he's not that type of rapper.
The Heart would be the series you would compare.
But I don't think they're totally different. They just happen to have parts.
Neither of them have hooks. Yeah, but that's still not...
yeah you're right but and one of the one of the hearts heart part three has soul and j-rock on it they let they let they let that has a hook heart part five has a hook they let the marvin drums go yeah that's a hook that's a hook there's no that's a hook that's a hook well if that's the case then i could say the ride would be a time stamp record because it's just a weekend going in between that's all it is that's not a hook
How did it go? I don't know.
That's a time stamp.

Chapter 7: What are the reactions to Obama's annual playlist?
The ride should have been a time stamp. Absolutely. That's probably my favorite Drake record. 6.30 on the ride.
Look at the time Smalls making. Look at what Drake be doing. Like, yeah, but just look at those times. Why are you on Bridal Path at 7 a.m.? All right. So you're saying, and I don't want to do the Drake J-versus, but you think.
Look at the hours. How many time stamps are there? Why are you awake at 5 a.m.? Officially, there's only four time stamps. What are you doing at?
Well, I know what Drake is doing at 5 a.m. in Toronto. That sounds like round two. 5 a.m. is round two time.
Chapter 8: What are the predictions for the Knicks and Nets in 2023?
Yeah, for sure. 4 p.m. in Calabasas. We've been to Calabasas at 4 p.m. We're probably on the 16th hole. Yeah.
And in the winter when the sun is going down?
He's on his 16th hole.
Yeah, he's gorgeous.
Drake was definitely on his 16th hole at 4 p.m. in Calabasas. He was going crazy that summer. Well, 6 p.m. in New York, he was obviously in traffic. Yeah. He had a lot of time to write.
He was definitely in the Lincoln Tunnel. Not him in Dallas. I mean, he went to the Afties.
He just landed. Not him in Dallas. You either just landed or you were about to leave.
For sure. On his way to the airport.
Yeah, 4 p.m. in Calabasas looks like he's gearing up for a house party function. That's the sun setting. people are coming over.
