The State Department says representatives from Israel and Lebanon will meet in Washington next week for two days of talks focused on long-term peace and security agreements. In the meantime, Israel continues carrying out attacks aimed at Hezbollah targets despite a ceasefire. NPR's Jana Rapp reports the strikes have killed a number of civilians.

It says it took care to minimize civilian casualties, but those known killed in the attack were three women, an elderly disabled man, and a girl who were at home when the airstrike hit their three-story building. Lebanese state media says Israeli attacks, mostly in southern Lebanon, killed 35 people Friday, including three other children.

The country's largest Reform Rabbinical Seminary is shuttering its Cincinnati school because of low enrollment and a large financial deficit. Jewish Federation of Cincinnati CEO Danielle Minson says the Hebrew Union College decision has been tough for the community.
We're sad. This is the last rabbinical class being ordained on the campus where Isaac Merriwise built American Reform Judaism 150 years ago. And we're also really proud. We're proud of our place in American Jewish history.
