The next big heat wave follows right on its heels across the Northern Plains particularly. but also including portions of the Intermountain West around Utah and also down into the Los Angeles Basin for next week.
The Weather Service is forecasting temperatures at 90 U.S. locations being tied or broken by the middle of next week. The Justice Department has subpoenaed at least four journalists from the New York Times. This over the paper's recent reporting about potential security concerns involving Air Force One an aircraft donated by the Qatari government. The Times had reported President Trump left Turkey this week on the old Air Force One after the Secret Service intervened.
