You know him from Coast to Coast AM, the conspiracy show, and his podcast, Strange Planet, which I've had the honor of appearing on several times. He's joining us today to discuss his new book, The Rock and Roll Twilight Zone, which is available now. And it's something that I know my audience is gonna love because it gets into the esoteric side of rock music. And today we're gonna discuss some of the ideas and strange conspiracies from the history of rock and roll. And we're doing it with one of the all time greats. Welcome back to the show, Mr. Richard Searrett.

Of course. Of course. Thanks for coming back. And my how do you pronounce your last name? Because I've heard I've I've I've s heard conflicting pronunciations and I wanna get it right.
Yes, even my name is a conspiracy. It it rhymes the best way to dis to explain it is uh it rhymes with carrot. So Sarrot, carrot, Saret.
Okay. All right. So I'm I'm kind of mispronouncing that that Y. Okay. Saret. Got it. Okay. All right. Now this is you know, and I've read through the book. Uh great book. Highly recommend it to all my listeners because I've explored many of these similar topics. And this is one of the things that got me into the conspiracy world because uh, you know, rock and roll is just loaded down, you know, sex, drugs, rock and roll, Alistair Crowley and all these things kind of lace in your book. Um And you know, I'm not sure where to start it off. Is this so f well let me start off with this. Is this your first book that you've written?
It is. It's well, it's my first published book. I did a couple of vanity publications for my boys, a couple of children's books, but uh this is the first published book by an actual publisher trying to yes.
Oh wow, okay. All right, right on. Yeah, yeah. Try and day's a good uh they're a good publisher. They've done Jay Dyer's books and Whitney Webb. So uh yeah. And then I noticed there was a nice uh foreword by Jim Harold. I've done his show a few times, and uh lots of folks that are familiar to my audience make appearances in the book. We've got, you know, Jay Dyer, Adam Go Rightly, Chris Jericho, uh Um John Potash, who I've never interviewed, but I've referenced his work many times. Um tell me just for a second, do you mind if we if we talk about the process it was for you to write this book? Because I'm always intrigued by the method of how people do this and how they write books, because there's so many different ways to do this.
