And basically it said this: uh Edmonton Forward of Enter Cain underwent successful knee surgery Thursday in Edmonton. It's expected that he will require four to eight weeks of recovery time. While this procedure is unrelated to his abdominal surgery in September, it will require him to pause his current rehabilitation schedule to recover from Thursday's operation.
His uh rehabilitation will continue to take place in in Ebenton and is under the supervision of the club's medical staff. So there you go. Uh that's the release that came out. The Oilers then made Evander Kane available as we go into the Oilers Now Audio Vault.

So Van Der Kane did an availability about an hour after that release came out, he had this to say on Thursday's knee surgery. Uh I had an e-scope
done yesterday. It was something that uh it kind of popped up a few weeks after I had my abdominal surgery. Um something that I had noticed. We finally got it looked at. And and we found that there was something that needed to be removed in my knee. There wasn't any sort of repair work uh or major structural uh work that was done. So uh it should be a pretty quick recovery.
And Kane was asked if he was frustrated with all the injuries he's had to deal with.
Yeah, I mean with regards to uh yesterday's pr uh surgery To be honest, I'm not frustrated at all. I'm actually um really happy that we were able to fix that and and uh you know get me uh to a hundred percent so that when I do come back and and play this year, feeling one hundred percent. And uh, you know, I know it it might put a pause for uh a a couple of weeks on my current rehab process, but uh it won't be very long. I think, you know, the the number that was out there was four to eight weeks and And that's uh you know, getting back plain um after a procedure like this. So in terms of rehabbing and and training and and and and continuing to g feel better, that that break uh is is gonna be
very short. All right. And uh Kane was asked about a timeline as to when he starts skating again.
Start skating? Not exactly sure. Um I have a timeline uh in my head that I'm probably not gonna share today, but you know, I don't think that timeline's changed with this surgery.
And then Kane was also asked uh to clarify a bit as to when he'll start his abdominal rehab again. I anticipate
it, you know, taking a week or two off from from the norm of what I've been doing thus far and continuing, um and then getting right back into it. So I I don't think it's gonna slow me down greatly, uh or my timeline down greatly with this surgery.
