Alex O’Connor: #1 Shift That Stops Endless Overthinking (FINALLY Get Unstuck)
25 May 2026
Chapter 1: What childhood experiences shaped Alex O’Connor's worldview?
This is an iHeart Podcast. Guaranteed human.
Hi, it's Jill Winterstein, host of the Spirit Daughter podcast, where we talk about astrology, natal charts, and how to step into your most vibrant life. And today I'm talking with my dear friend, Krista Williams. It can change you in the best way possible.
Chapter 2: Why do people often feel stuck in their lives?
Dance with the change, dance with the breakdowns. The embodiment of Pisces intuition with Capricorn power moves. So I'm like delusionally proud of my chart. Listen to the Spirit Daughter podcast starting on February 24th on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to your podcasts.
Chapter 3: How can one find their true purpose in life?
2%. That's the number of people who take the stairs when there is also an escalator available. I'm Michael Easter, and on my podcast, 2%, I break down the science of mental toughness, fitness, and building resilience in our strange modern world. Put yourself through some hardships, and you will come out on the other side a happier, more fulfilled, healthier person.
Listen to 2%.
Chapter 4: What insights can history provide about our present?
That's T-W-O percent on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Lori Siegel, a longtime tech journalist. And consider my new podcast, Mostly Human, your bridge to the future.
Anyone can now be an entrepreneur. Anyone can build an app.
Chapter 5: What are the mysteries surrounding consciousness?
And it's very empowering. Each week, I'll speak to the people building that future. And we're going to break down what all of this innovation actually means for you.
What I come to realize is that when people think that they're dating these AI companion, they're actually dating the companies that create this.
We're experiencing one of the greatest tech accelerations in human history.
Chapter 6: How does the New Atheist movement influence modern thought?
And let's be honest, that can be messy. There's no playbook for what to do when an AI model hallucinates a story about you. But it's my belief that we should all benefit from this moment. Mostly Human will show you how. My goal is to give you the playbook so you can benefit.
Chapter 7: What are the limitations of science and philosophy?
The reason I say agency is because if we can give power back to people, then I think that's probably the best thing we can do for your mental health.
Listen to Mostly Human on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to your favorite shows.
Why do things exist? We have swallowed wholesale this idea that everything can be reduced to scientific explanations. I just don't think that's true.
Chapter 8: What does it mean to live a good life according to Alex O’Connor?
What is the most dangerous idea people believe without questioning?
There are very few things that people can be certain of. Pay attention when you are convinced that you know why you're doing something. What is a good life? I would ask what they mean by good.
What do you think people are most afraid to admit about life?
That it comes to an end.
Alex O'Connor, welcome to On Purpose.
Jay, nice to meet you.
It's nice to meet you, mate. I've been looking forward to meeting you for a long, long time. I've been a consumer and fan of your content, thoroughly enjoy watching you, whether it's debate, conversation, very, very intriguing stuff.
I wanted to start off by asking you, I hope you've never been asked before, I don't think I saw this, but what's a childhood memory that you have that you feel defines who you are today?
My childhood is a bit unusual given the line of work I found myself in. I grew up just sort of south of Oxford city centre in a place called Blackbird Lees. When I think of my childhood, what I remember is like acting up at school. In secondary school, kind of not showing up for class.
