How are the Springboks planning to improve consistency against the All Blacks in Baltimore?
First up today, South Africa have named their team for the final test of their greatest rivalry series against New York. Zealand this weekend. The two sides head to the American City of Baltimore this week, with the Springboks leading the series 2-1 after a 29-24 win in Soweto last Saturday.
A late try from All Blacks replacement hooker Samosoni Taukeaho took the gloss off a decisive win by the hosts last weekend, and Springboks head coach Razi Erasmus is hoping for more consistency in their game.
The the last two taste matches we were Well about nine five, six minutes ahead to a fourteen points or so and and then we we still made it a seven point game or a or very close game.
Why does Rassie Erasmus say the Springboks lacked consistency in the last test?
So th that says that we didn't handle the last nine, nine, ten minutes well. Um especially in obviously the first test match also, but then we had two yellow cards. But uh yeah, I don't think we've been consistent. Um if we can get consistency out of the way we play both on attack and defense. I know um everybody is is talking about Everybody, a lot of people are talking about our defense. But when you play against New Zealand, it is tough to defend and they really attack well, so we want to get better there. But um then in all areas we felt the last ten, nine minutes is normally the time when we well we were better in the past and we felt we let that slip a little bit in the last three games and we want to get better at that.
Elsewhere, the Wallabies maintained their unbeaten start to life under new head coach Les Kiss, or saw their winning run come to an end.
What happened in the Wallabies' draw against Argentina and how did Carter Gordon’s injury affect the team?
That depends on how you look at things. They claimed a series win over Argentina with a twenty-eight all draw in Mendoza. The Aussies scored first half tries through Harry Wilson and Max Jorgensen, with Fraser McWright crossing the whitewash in the second half. Now Las Pumas looked set to hold out the visitors at twenty eight. eight twenty one before coughing up a penalty try ten minutes from time. That draw came at a price, however, inform out half Carter Gordon came off injured late in the game, and post game scans revealed he's suffered a leg fracture and will be out for two months. That rules him out of a meeting with South Africa in Perth at the end of this month, followed by a two test Bleslo Cup series against New Zealand in October.
Now in France the top four
