Chapter 1: What is the Maple Leafs' current situation regarding their GM search?
This hour of Overdrive is powered by FanDuel. FanDuel, bringing you everything from the opening line to the final score.
All right, here we go. Overdrive off and running. TSN 1050 on the TSN app. Your home smart speaker up on TSN4, up on YouTube Live. Brian Hays, YoDog, Jeff O'Neill, Jamie Noodles, McLennan. What's going on today? How are we feeling this afternoon?
Man, there's some weird and wacky stuff going on out there in the universe these days, I'll tell you. Whoa. Yeah, there's some wild stuff. There's some wild stuff. There's some wild stuff. We're not going to go into it. Leafland is kind of part of the wild stuff. Who knows what's going on down there? But other corporations down south, there's some stuff going on.
Some wild stuff. I actually witnessed some wild stuff this morning. Oh, yeah? I'm going to launch an investigation myself because...
I think I know what you're going to say.
I don't think you do. Yeah, I really do. I'm not sure you do. You might, if you're guilty, because there is a culprit out there. Someone had sticky fingers this morning.
Oh, no. I know exactly what you're talking about.

Chapter 2: How is Tie Domi influencing the Maple Leafs' GM search process?
I'll tell you what it is, and you can just say that's what it is. All right. Yeah. Me and Hayes had to do something today for a production that we're doing later on.
Very excited about it. We're going to have more on this later. We're announcing it soon.
It's going to be awesome.
We cannot wait.
All right. But there was a ton of professional people around, and inside there was some stuff set up for us. breakfast sandwiches, fruit, and on the other side of the room, I can't believe somebody saw this.
Dude, I swear I didn't see it. Okay, let me take it from here. No, dude, I want to explain myself. I'm taking it from here because I will let you explain it, but I've got to go through this chronologically, Noodles. So I get there. 7.45 this morning, right? Yeah. Out at Copetown Woods. Unbelievable place. Barry, the owner, was there. He's an awesome guy. Walk in there, like O said, great spread.
And it's so early, and I'm hungry, but I'm already starting to plant seeds for later. And I walk over, and there's a basket. filled with my favorite candy bar is Snickers. I love Snickers.
There were three or four of them in there.
And I planted my eyes on those and I said, it's too early to grab one.

Chapter 3: What are the implications of John Chayka becoming a finalist for the Leafs' GM role?
I'll circle back later. No one's going to take all of the Snickers.
Do you know who your partner is?
Now I know who. I went back there. I circled back at 1130 before I left. I said, oh, Snickers. I never buy them. They're my favorite candy bar. But I never think to get them. And I'm like, those are on display. I'm going to grab some Snickers.
They're in that bag right there.
That's what it is. I go over there. They're gone. And I'm like, someone came by and swept up all the Snickers, and I knew it was you. I knew it was you the whole time. And you knew it was you the second I said I'm launching an investigation. How many were in there? How many do you have in that bag?
Let me explain myself first, and then I'll dig into the tickle truck. So there's the area, and not many people are diving into this stuff, okay? So sometimes, sometimes in the evening, my wife will say to me, any chance you're going to the store, that's code for maybe she wants a little snack or something.
Right, of course. I don't know. I got you. We don't carry a lot of that stuff. I live in a similar household. I know exactly what you mean.

Chapter 4: What was the outcome of the Canadiens' game against the Lightning?
So I was grabbing a coffee, and I did a little neck stretch, and I peered across the room, and there's a little goodie bag station. And I'm like, you know what? Here's how pathetic it is. I went up to the head pro, Barry, and I said, do you have any kind of brown bag or some kind of bag or something? So I went over to this little snack shop.
And stole everything.
Cheers. Ha, ha, ha.
I got chips.
It's supposed to be for everybody. A cast of dozens noodles. Dozens of people. Show the Snickers.
Some of these little guys.
Get to the Snickers. Because you know what sickened me more than anything? I don't like Mars bars. And you know what drives me crazy? People always say that they don't eat chocolate bars. They're like, oh, it's the same thing, Mars and Snickers. No, they're not. They're not even close.
No.
This degenerate left the Mars bar. Of course he did. He picked through. Look at the Snickers. There they are. Dude, I... Oh, you took a Mars bar. Okay, you did take one.

Chapter 5: How did the Blue Jays perform in their recent matchup against the Twins?
I placed my eyes on those Snickers at 7.45 this morning, and I said, I need one.
I'm taking one. Kit Kat, you won. This guy stole the whole thing. The whole thing. Anything that's not nailed down, he just takes it.
The whole thing. That's what it is. Noodles, I knew it. There's the last one. I knew it was three Snickers because when I saw it, I said, that's my bag right there. I'm taking one of those, and I circled back out on the exit, and they were all gone. And I knew it was this guy that took them.
The worst part about it was when I went to do this little mission, side quest.
You made sure I wasn't around, too, because you know if I saw you do that, I would have called you out immediately.
Dude. I did an FBI scan and look of that room, and there was no one in there. As soon as I stuffed this brown bag, I looked back, and there was four people from the corporation that we were dealing with, and they were staring at me like I was an insane old person.
Oh, noodles. I've witnessed this before. We've all seen it before. We've witnessed this before. Anything is not nailed down. There's a bunch of these little mixed nuts, too. Anything like Trade Center, Free Agency, Kit Kats. Anything where Nicole Anderson will bring in everything, and then all of a sudden, she might as well just take it out of her car and load it right into the back of O's car.
Yes. Because some of the stuff just disappears. You're right. And you're like, oh, that looked great.

Chapter 6: What are the expectations for the Wild in their series against the Stars?
Well, where are all the Gatorades? Where's the blue Gatorade?
Guys, I have to work in Studio 6 quite often. So what happened? This just goes to waste. So I just pull it into my office there, and it's for everybody.
Yeah. I knew it was you. I was... Facetious in saying I'm launching an investigation. I didn't need to. I knew it was you. I knew you took those Snickers.
I'm going to take this a step further. You did not assume that this was me. Someone said they saw me.
I swear to you, no one said a word. Because you were still shooting. You had to do shots. I had left. I had done my stuff. So I was circling in to be a gutless little weasel. Oh, you were going to do the same thing I did. I was going to go in and grab a two-pack or a mitt full, and I got in there, and I'm like, they're all gone. They're gone. And I knew it was morning noodles.
No one's eating Snickers at 1030 in the morning.
That's why I help myself. I'm like, no one's touching this stuff. You know what, though?

Chapter 7: What insights does Keegan Matheson provide about the Blue Jays' performance?
This establishment is watching this segment going, I don't even know if we can have these guys back.
You're right, Noodles. You're right. You're right. I mean, it's an embarrassment to the whole operation. We're representing TSN. We're there representing a great company that employs a lot of amazing people.
See, the thing is, though, Brian, I think respectfully you probably would have grabbed two, maybe just the Snickers, and that's not.
Yeah, like one or two for the road. And felt embarrassed to do so.
This guy asked somebody who worked there, can you get me a garbage bag or a brown bag so I can just take this whole table and dump it into the bag and walk out?
That's the difference. This guy probably took utensils, probably a table run. You've probably got it all. Look at this guy. It's like a deck of cards, Snickers.
I'll tell you what, if you're hungry and not feeling like yourself, grab a Snickers.
I guess so. They're not available.
They're not. I was trying to. I was, and I was going to follow that motto. Anyway, all right, we've got a big show today. We've got a big show. Nazem Kadri coming up in an hour. He's a Leaf alumni. Maybe he's possibly going to be the president of hockey operations. Never know. Never know. Maybe he's involved because you referenced the Leafs.

Chapter 8: What are the key challenges facing the Blue Jays this season?
Again, we come in here daily, and if there's no Leaf news, we're just going to move on to the next thing. Eventually, there will be. The draft lottery. Listen to this pig put his stuff in that bag. That took you 25 seconds to repack. Too long. To repack the bag. Too long. Draft lottery on Tuesday. Big night. Not only for the Leafs. Big night for Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg, Chicago, New York.
A lot of teams. So there will be news. At some point, the Leafs are going to make a hiring. The belief is... that Pelley and Company have sent this...
directive to ownership hey we're looking at matt sundin john chica subject to change but it appears as if that's the case the athletic johnston cj james myrtle and jonas have connected whenever the three of them start connecting on a story you know stuff's coming yeah they have written a story in the athletic indicate reporting that ty domey is heavily involved in this search
And obviously Domi and Sanin, I believe, were like best friends when they played here, were teammates for a long time. Domi and John Chayka have a long history somehow, dating back to London when Max played there. Again, I don't believe Domi is a part of a search firm. I don't think he works with a search firm. This is Domi Domi and Company or whatever it is.
But Ty is allegedly or reportedly involved in the process, and maybe he gets a job out of this too.
Wasn't John Chayka in Arizona when Max was there as well? Yes. I think the only thing that would make it awkward, having Ty involved, what if one of the first orders of business is to move his son out of the organization? Because if you feel like you're looking for...
I don't know, but I'm just saying, what if you're like, okay, I'm going to clear out a lot of players, and I'm looking to add to the depth of the organization and the top six, and Max doesn't fit the criteria of what I'm looking at? Doesn't that make it weird?
Very reasonable. Well, that's where... Let me begin with... I don't have a problem with Ty Domi. He's an all-time great Leaf. In terms of the way he played, he was a beloved Leaf. He was a Leaf for a long time. One of the truly most famous Leafs of my lifetime. Of all time. Absolutely. And he literally fought for this team and laid it on the line. And he was a great Leaf, and he's an alumni.
So I don't blame Ty Domi if Keith Pelley or someone calls him and says, Hey, give me your opinion. Yeah, he's going to give you his opinion. I'll give you my opinion. Keith Pelley calls me and goes, I'd like your opinion. I'll give it to you. Oh, I'm sure you'd say the same. Noodles, whatever. Sure, we'll give your opinions. I got no problem with that.
