I enjoyed the first hour and having Matthew on, Matthew Shinetti, talking about the World Cup. There's just so many positives that come out of what we saw. It travels on different levels. There's the performance of our players. There's the reaction of the different communities that we have that make us Canada at their own, celebrating their own cultures at their own game in Toronto and Vancouver. And I want to believe that there are a lot of parts of the world that are envious of us, and they should be.

Yeah, exactly, exactly. No, the number of people who talked about how the Toronto Stadium, the way it was configured, with the temporary grandstands that were so steep, it looked so rickety. Like when they were first put up, we thought it was in the middle of winter or the end of winter, and it was like kind of scary looking, right? They were just such steep grandstands. But because they were so steep and because they were so severe, they were incredible in terms of keeping people close to the field, right? Oh, yeah, an intimate field. Very intimate field. And a lot of the coaches were saying it felt like the old premiership stadiums before they built the gigantic ones, the ones that were still around in the 90s, a couple of which I saw as a kid.
Amazing places, right? Like a nice intimate field where the fans are close to the action and not too many people and not too grandiose. And, man, I think that showed up well. in terms of the global reaction to our tiny little stadium.
True enough, driving along the Gardiner to Leafs or Raptors games when they were putting that up, I'd look over and go, wow, that doesn't look secure at all. But it just looked like a wind could take it out. And let's be honest here, there have been stadium collapses in Europe at some of the older ones with catastrophic results. So I think it'd be interesting to sit down with the people who designed all that and came up with that configuration. I think that's a pretty relevant story.
