I have seen them a couple of times. And it's a depressing watch, and that was over 20 years ago. Like, I was at Sarastock. I saw them up at Downsview when ACDC played before them and completely stole the whole show. And then I think the Stones knew it, so they made everyone wait like an hour and a half before they came out. Just to lower the intensity? Yeah, basically. Because, like, ACDC came out and were unbelievable. And the whole place was going nuts. And then I swear someone went to the Stones and said, you better wait at least 90 minutes because no one wants to hear Start Me Up right now. If they came out like, Start Me Up, people would be like, we want more ACDC. Immediately a chant for an encore from ACDC.
So I have seen the Stones in Toronto. I saw them in Halifax at one point. Again, that was 20 years ago, and it was rough. I've said many times on this show, I don't think Keith Richards has had his guitar plugged in since the 90s. He's just out there messing around. Half the time, he's not paying attention. He's looking at the wall. I don't think he has a clue what's going on. Mick is still trying to do his thing, which I feel like... I appreciate at his age that he feels... He's still got to be a showman. They're still charging Rolling Stone prices. If you're going to see them play, you're not getting in there for $20. It's not being played downtown at some... bar where if you line up first to get in for $10, you're paying a premium to go see them.
So he's trying, but it's just not, I'm sure, what it used to be.
Well, I think he's 83. Yeah. I just read an interview with him, and he mentioned he would just keep touring. I don't think they're going to tour anymore.

And many of them have passed away, have they not? Yeah, the drummer, I believe. They had the plane crash. That's a long time ago, right? Well, the 70s, I believe that was, or early 80s. But I'm not sure how many of the originals are still there. Listen, I love Lynyrd Skynyrd. My understanding is they're an amazing live band. But that's from testimonials from the 70s when people saw the play.
And it's like all replacements, according to the research that I did.
Like, it's a cover band. Yeah, a lot of them seem to die. How do you kind of get away with that? You know, if it's... Because I actually... It's funny you mention that. I was... I saw a clip of Sublime, the band Sublime.

He was in San Francisco. But they're still touring. And he had a son who I believe is now in his 20s who might have joined the band. Which you see that sometimes with like John Bonham's kid is doing Zeppelin on the drums. I want to say Eddie Van Halen's son has maybe done some stuff with them. Although both Van Halen brothers have passed away. But like at what point does it become like a carnival kind of?
