Yeah, what a performance. Alonso dunking half a second on Lance Stroll's head the minute the car is not the slowest on the grid. And, yeah, I mean, as much as I joke about it being the story of the season, it probably was the story of Q1 because that was, you know, the two Williamses or maybe a Rogue Haas, the two Cadillacs and the two Aston Martins was usually our Q1 exites.
Indeed, he only just made it through after looking like he was going to end up, because there's a flurry of kind of changes towards the end, wasn't there, where people were improving. And I think Alonso put it in a fairly decent position. I can't remember exactly where it was, but it was something like 12th or something. And then it kind of started tumbling down the order. And thankfully for Alonso, Behrman did not put a great lap in. Ocon actually getting through so we don't have to have the the question about is Ocon under pressure maybe now the new question is is Ocon safe yeah there you go can it save him a little q2 appearance in Hungary but yeah Alonso getting through was a massive moment Stroll as much as you know we can say oh he was 20th Alonso's dunked on him of course he did not have the
sort of fair comparison based on what happened in FP1 and FP2 as well of him completely missing that session and we know how important it is to have track time
Yeah, that's very true. Lance not having as much time in the car as Fernando and through no fault of his own, you know, the left rear just deciding to disintegrate in FP1. Yeah, and you mentioned Oli Behrman and Esteban Ocon. Of course, Ocon, I think, safe to say, well done, great performance, out qualifies Oli. I think that Behrman said his lap wasn't that good, which I can understand why he would probably say that. Yeah. um but surprising to see him out in q1 because Behrman has of course had the the upper hand over Ocon almost the entire year but you know we're not going to say that Ocon's seat is safe but it it can't hurt going into the summer break to show a little bit of form in qualifying and uh certainly better than being in Oli Behrman's position um when we go into that four-week break so it's
So well done. Well done to Esteban Ocon. Mental to say that, you know, P15s are well done these days, but that's where Haas is.
