And then after that, he went underground again and he missed the Masters, he missed the PGA Championship, and he kept citing the family health situation. Although clearly it was okay for him to go to South Africa. So that was part of the mystery.
As Live Golf is fighting for its survival, you know, Phil's its biggest star. He's the most accomplished player. He's really the godfather of Live Golf. He helped found the whole thing. And for him to be underground was stunning.
But even more conspicuous, Phil Mickelson also went dark on Twitter. where he had transformed into one of the most prolific posters in all of sports. Which leads us now back to Alan Shipnuck, the guy who literally wrote the book on Phil and has now cracked this story wide open for the outlet Scratch Golf.
