I was happy to see Alex Bregman hit a home run, but you need more than one hit, especially against a guy that we didn't really know about in Grant Holmes, who does resemble Kenny Powers a bit. I'm not trying to say that, you know, stereotypically because it got the long curly hair. But then I think he outperformed Kenny Powers in the whole baseball department by being able to go four strong innings against the Cubs. And then the Cubs end up losing and the Braves are like, hey, P.S., we also have a really good offense, yada, yada, yada. We scored five runs. Now the Cubs had productive outs, but sadly, the worst part was the best part.

So it's just the top of the fourth inning for me because you get the hit, the home run you're talking about, Alex Bregman, to watch three straight batters walk. And you're like, all right, they're about to really bust out of this. Again, they had a home run to make it 1-1. And you're like, they're not only going to tie the game, they're going to take the lead. Ian Happ walks. Seiya Suzuki walks. Michael Bush walks. Moises Ballesteros is up with the bases loaded. He has been very good with runners on base. He's been very good, period, until this most recent slump has taken his average all the way down to .257. To watch him ground into a force out. Now, good on Moises to beat out the double play and score a run.
And then to watch Dansby Swanson take the lowest advice and not yield to it, but to swing at garbage.

An inning later from the fourth inning that Marshall talked about where it's 1-1, the bases are loaded with one out, and they only capitalize on the grounder by Biostaros. When you don't come through in those spots, you get burned, and it happened an inning later. A four-run fifth for Atlanta against Colin Ray, Austin Riley, and Mike Yastrzemski coming up with the home runs in that spot.
And it was Ray allowing five runs over four and a third. He did get to 80 pitches in the game. So it just kind of sucked to see Ray sink a little bit in that fifth inning.
Guys, you know what else was good bad? Didn't he pick off Matt Olsen not once but twice?
Yeah.
And you can't even be happy about that.
You should win the game where you pick a guy off twice.
