Adam Hogg says... Adam Hogg, Bears insider. What's up, everyone? My name's Adam Hogg.

What insights does Adam Hoge provide about the Bears-Packers playoff game?

Adam Hoge 0:09
This is the CHGO Bears podcast. Host of the Hogg and Johns podcast.
Mark Grote 0:13
I've said this a few times. Ben Johnson does not seem like a first-time head coach. It's just like that's not the vibes that we've had with this coaching staff coming in. Adam Hogg. Adam Hoagie or Hogg, excuse me.
Adam Hoge 0:24
I don't know how to pronounce the last name. On 670 The Score.

What are the concerns regarding the Bears' coaching staff and player performance?

Mark Grote 1:00
Hey, guys, we made it. The playoffs. It's happening.
Unknown 1:04
It's tomorrow.
Mark Grote 1:05
What was that?
Leila Rahimi 1:06
What was that? I don't know. I'm trying to. It's about the playoffs, I guess.
Marshall Harris 1:10
I'm worried, Adam. I'm not going to lie. I'm concerned. That's fine, but don't waste the moment to be excited. You're right, Adam. I just got through telling people this, but I'm on this seesaw right now of just despair and excitement. It's just, we're coming up on it. It's about to be real. It's like the season could be over tomorrow night, or the Bears could be getting ready for a second straight playoff game at Soldier Field.
Mark Grote 1:36
Those are extremes. None of us except for Grody actually have an impact on this game. He'll have some type of impact. I don't exactly know what it is. But the rest of us just enjoy the ride. And then when it's over, then you can be happy or sad. But just enjoy it. That's all I can say right now. The Bears don't make the playoffs usually. And while we're all excited about the future, there's no guarantee next season. And so this is a big one.
Unknown 2:00
You've got to take advantage. Hold on a second. So is that – pardon me. I do listen to you guys, but I have not caught you this week because we're all kind of buried in our own worlds here. Is that the theme on the CHGO shows? Are you guys just like – is it nobody's nervous? You guys are like, let's just go. Let's appreciate. If you are, I commend that because you've got nervous people in this studio right here, Hogg.
Hogg.
Mark Grote 2:30
I don't know. We've been a little over the map. I got to say, you know, this is not a shock, but the most emotional of all the people on our show is Greg Braggs Jr. Of course. Who is the mayor of Bearstown. Yes, yes. He does a really like weird, impressive psychological mind twist to like psych himself up in the moments where he...

How can the Bears improve their offensive strategy against the Packers?

Mark Grote 2:52
He should be a mess. He just kind of talks himself into, no, everything's going to be fine. I'm confident. I'm confident and confident. Until he's not, does that make sense? I guess it's healthy, but then there's the other weeks where he just doesn't sleep for seven straight days, and you can tell. So I don't know.
Leila Rahimi 3:08
Yeah, that sounds about right for Greg. I think he gives it his fair... He tries. And I think that's the most important thing.
Unknown 3:16
Shout out to Braggs.
Leila Rahimi 3:17
Yeah, absolutely. But I think getting back into this game, Adam, I had said this before to Mason Crosby. I've said it in our pre-show meetings. This is a game where I feel like Both Packers fans and Bears fans could be talking about each other's teams. Like there's a, there's a level of a lack of confidence and then understanding what your team brings. And yeah, I was, I was watching a lot of the comments about how Rashawn Gary hadn't had a sack since week nine. And I was like, Hey, I would like to have Rashawn Gary on my team, you know? So I feel like there's a lot of similar concerns when it comes to fan bases and their teams for this game.
Mark Grote 3:54
No question. And that's because these teams are actually very similar. I think both teams trust their offensive ability coming into this game, and both teams are very nervous about their defense. And both of these defenses are slumping.
