I know that you're at Hallis right now. So I appreciate you giving us some of your time. Uh I'm gonna start with the obvious question. You said on Hogan Young's that Johns that uh there may actually be a better chance that Caleb plays Monday than Tyson Basin. Are you still sticking to that?
Yeah, but I don't think it's a good chance for either of them. I think we're looking at the Case Keenum show on Monday night, um, and everybody should mentally prepare themselves for that. I just think with the concussion protocol and uh it's starting somewhat late later in the process too on Tuesday morning for Tyson Bajent, uh, that that just th it's i neither are likely, but that one's less likely in my opinion right now. Uh it we're we're still Weirdly early in the week for it being Friday morning right now. You know, usually we're making our predictions right now and we have a good idea of the injury reports. Um, but the Bears are just getting out there for their second practice of the week here in just a little bit.
Adam, we have seen the both sides of the equation when it comes to the Ben Johnson offense. We saw fifty-nine points week one, where it's like, oh my God, I've never seen this in my lifetime. Then we see last week, where the Bears only scored three points. I imagine that Ben Johnson, not very happy about his team's performance. But when you watch that game back, when you're watching the all twenty-two, obviously the weather was chaotic.
What injury concerns are looming for the Bears before the Eagles matchup?
Caleb leaves. The game, but when you look at what the offense did, was there something that stood out to you that outside of the weather might be cause for concern?
Well, I think the one thing I'm just concerned about is is some of i is well here here, just uh I guess the only cause for the concern I really have right now is the lack of production overall from Colson Lovelin, Roma Dunze, and Luther Burden. And not a concern in that I I don't think it's ever gonna start happening. It's just when I look at these first couple of games it's confusing. Um, especially considering they did put up fifty nine points in that first game. And I I sometimes I'm looking at these formations. Um, you know, you have three running backs on the field in the second play of the game. I like I don't need a play where Roshan Johnson's on the field on the Like He he kne he the only time I I he needs to be on the field is if 'cause there's been injuries and the guys are banged up and he needs to be out there.
Otherwise he should be out there on special teams. So I just I think there's been a little bit too much at times of getting a little too cute with this stuff. Um I would be a little bit more worried about just getting my stars the ball, right? And um but Yeah, you still look at that game and the Bears are six in offensive EPA through two weeks. They still move the ball uh quite a bit in that game. They just shot themselves in the foot in the red zone with penalties and mistakes.
