But just an incredible moment, maybe, to have such iconic people all involved in a weird story connected to a guy that we watch play baseball around.

The Cubs win the first two games of the series and yesterday lose the finale after blowing a lead after Seisuzuki got it back. Kuhn. I was listening at the time. It's something that kind of is annoying because the call was, I believe, should have been made and wasn't. They reviewed it with Nico Horner having the bag blocked when he tried to steal. How did you see it unfold? And do you think that it might have been a different outcome if it had gone a different way?
Yeah, well, it would have been a different outcome. The call would have been different. To me, those calls are kind of bizarre, David, and the league's got to clean that up because like play at the plate the catching call how we had to do some drastic things at home plate and make a lot of calls and then all of a sudden now it's kind of cleaned up so i think in second base umpires they don't pay attention to the blocking of the base well the base is being blocked he really didn't have a spot to go into the base once he went over it um and then You know, his foot's going to hit the base. He gets blocked by the shortstop's foot. I think that was Holiday or second baseman anyway. So I think those calls a lot of times, what team you're rooting for is how you see the call.
I definitely think the base is being blocked. And, you know, and then I've seen this through the years, too, where if a guy is sliding on past the base or could be as the tagger, which could have been a third baseman at some point, you might just help push him with the tag a little harder and maybe he goes off the base. And I think Nico said that, too. And we've all done that before, a few of the infielders. So. But tough play. If that play goes the Cubs' way, it could be a different outcome in the ballgame.
You know, it was just a weird game all the way around. I think that we know the Cubs have had bullpen issues. Everybody understands that they've had some pitching issues as well, just starter stuff. And what was your takeaway from the outing from Peterson, from Jackson? David Peterson where he obviously only allowed one earned run he did walk for people but he got seven outs via ground ball and he wasn't getting putting the ball in the air I mean it was it was like the it was much more like the first time we saw David Peterson pitching for the Cubs than the second time yeah it was definitely better you know and he did get out of some jams with
You know, some ground balls, there's no doubt. He got a couple double play balls. He got a couple low-line drives that were hit well, but they were line drives in the infield that ended up being outs as opposed to them getting elevated and, you know, going in a gap or going out of the ballpark. So I would think that was an encouraging sign, and you hope that that trend – You know, whatever they're doing with him, whatever Tommy Hathaway is doing with him as far as work, that trend is getting better.
