The Big Bulls boss, Bryson Graham, has added on as the Bulls are expected to eventually announce the hiring of Tiago Splitter as the team's 25th head coach. Yeah, it's fantastic, guys. It's a home run higher. And I know I've been on here a lot in recent years and been very, very critical of the Bulls and Bulls management and a lot of what's occurred there. I haven't all that critical of the coach because I'm a big Billy Donovan fan. But Billy Donovan was going to leave. It was what it was. It was time for him, time for the Bulls. And Splitter is fantastic. You watch what happened with Portland this year. Think about where they were. One game into the season, Chauncey Billups gets taken away in handcuffs. And that's it. Done for the season.
How did Tiago Splitter perform as the interim coach for the Blazers?
Splitter inherits this job and takes them not only to the play-in tournament, but to win in the play-in tournament and then play the Spurs in the first round of the playoffs. The Blazers weren't really ready for that. in terms of where they were in their stages of development. Tiago Splitter took them there. He was able to essentially take a really bad situation with Chauncey Billups and kind of cocoon all of the outside noise and get these guys focusing and concentrating. And I think one of the things you have to look at regarding Splitter's tenure is the guys that really improved for for the Blazers you know Denny Abdi was in the conversation for most improved player this year he was a guy that I if if they had not made Cunningham and Doncic eligible for an all-nba team I was putting Denny Abdi on an all-nba team that's how good he was this year Scoot Henderson was a lost draft pick till Splitter got his hands on him when he came back healthy look really good at the end of the year Shaden Sharpe's a guy Blazers were very high on he he
he definitely struggled before splitter took over splitter, took over a better year this year, your young guys got better with splitter. And I bring that up because that is what the bulls need. The bulls need some of these young guys to really improve and, and, and just, you know, add to their games and have a coach that puts them in spots to succeed and a coach that supports them in getting better. So I think, you know, Bulls, you know, listen, Bryson Graham's going to come take this thing over and do it his way. I think the Bulls need somebody to do that. This is an excellent coach. Let's just make sure as time goes on and get an ownership group that's willing to cooperate on the financial side.
