The views and opinions of Layla Rahimi, Marshall Harris, and Mark Grody should not be taken too seriously. Especially when they give advice. Do not take Marshall's analogies literally. Especially when it comes to Russell Dorsey. The sports thoughts of Rahimi, Harris, and Grody may change at any time. It's just sports. Okay, thanks. Bye. Rahimi, Harris, and Grody. 10 to 2 on 104.3 The Score.
Emery gave us analogy on top of analogy. He always does. Yeah.
He speaks my language.
What?
Emory Hunt. I thought that I was optimistic about the Bears. I thought Marshall was optimistic. Nobody was as optimistic as our guest.
You know, when we look at this division again, Detroit still has a lot of questions, more so than the Vikings. I actually feel stronger about the Vikings. I think the Vikings have been a second in this division this year, more so than Green Bay. And I still feel like Detroit still has some questions, especially now that we know Terryon Arnold's out there trying to beat you know, Nino Brown, and so, yeah, he's not even on the roster no more, so. Lamar Jackson's number one. I feel like he is underrated in how good this dude is. This dude last two years ago put together the best football season in football history, and they gave Josh Allen you know, a pity MVP. MVP pity. Wow. Pity points. Fabulous. I love pity points.
Jared Goff. Even though it looks like he's throwing mouths off cocktails, he don't have the strongest arms. It's just, it's efficient. The man's on time, right? Right, exactly. I don't care how I get there. It's like the Spirit Airlines of passing. I don't care how it gets there, it got there. You know what I'm saying?
They call it Spirit Airlines because your spirit leaves your body when you board.
How did Munetaka Murakami and the White Sox steal the All‑Star spotlight?
It's like, this dude, you're on your own in Minneapolis. I'll walk.
This already in the toilet. You know what I'm saying? The seatbelts, it's just two of the same side of a seatbelt. You can't ever snap in properly.
The pilots high-five when they land the plane.
It's like, dude, act like you've been there before, fellas. I knew this would work, especially after that last flight I took.
Spirit Airlines is now boarding group whatever. Just start punching until you're on an airplane.
Layla Rahimi, Marshall Harris, Mark Grody. Middays 10 a.m. to 2 on Chicago Sports Radio 104.3. The score...
Emory Hunt was absolutely fantastic yesterday. If you missed it, you can check it out on our YouTube channel, The Score Chicago. We are happy to talk Bears with him, and we are happy to talk about baseball with you on this All-Star Tuesday. This is Rahimi Harrison-Grody on 104.3 The Score. And before the Home Run Derby, we got to see all the players in Philly talk to the media. It was media day. Everybody's on this stage. And despite missing 35 games in baseball's first half, Munataka Murakami was absolutely owning this stage. The White Sox stars and the story that Insiders have told you about the story that you have felt, the story that people have absorbed this whole season. Finally got to take shape yesterday on the big stage in Philadelphia.
And not only was P. Cor Armstrong representing for the Cubs, but you know who the Sox star is. Mooney, I feel like, had a very big coming out party yesterday, Marshall.
And really, it was appropriate that he kind of picked up where he left off. When you think about the 35 games that he missed, the Sox are obviously able to stay afloat without him, going 17 and 18 in those games, and then they win the first three games when he comes back, even though he doesn't homer in that series over the weekend. And he gets to Philadelphia, and I think the shining of an international star and the general curiosity about someone who does not speak English as his native tongue, who has to have a translator, but you see how his star power shines through any barriers that normally would be in effect. And I think it says a couple of things. It says that the White Sox really got over on the rest of Major League Baseball by signing this guy to the two-year deal that they signed him to.
