Oh, it's a good day and uh part of it is you gave us a ton of content. What an incredible story. Spending a day with Ben Johnson, we were uh wondering when we saw the photo of him attempting to uh to lift if you were uh having a competition. Can he keep up with you, Dan? Just curious.

Uh, you know, he's got he's got a few years on me, so uh I I defer to Ben. But uh I I did not uh I I did not partake in the workout because I wanted to be uh uh an ob observer, an astute observer and be able to uh take in everything he was doing. But uh yeah, I could tell you he is a maniac in the in the weight room and uh you know, he uh he kind of attacks the workout the way he uh attacks a game plan or or uh an opponent and and uh he gets after it pretty good. I I I know uh You know, the uh the other people, the other coaches, the other uh people who are in the weight room had a lot of respect for what he does in there.
Tremendous story, Dan. Tr I just think it was masterful the way that you described every aspect of the day that was a long one, but worthwhile time. And I think when you look at some of the ways you describe Ben Johnson, I wanted to ask you about this specifically. You are not a man prone to hyperbole. And you say Johnson, who embodies the spirit of his storied franchise better than anyone who has sat in his chair. since the legendary Mike Ditka hammers home what he wants his team to be about. That's quite a statement. I don't know that Lovey Smith was a different personality, so I think I understand what you're getting at there, but what were you getting at there?
You know, I when I think back to uh to Mike Ditka, I think back to George Hallis, I think back to really, you know, the roots of this franchise and their history going back over a hundred years, you know, I I th I see a lot of the the things that that Ben emphasizes, uh, you know, he is Very bold. And he is not he doesn't back down from anything, you know. Obviously you see the intensity in which he approaches the the Packers rivalry and how he's kind of elevated that. Um You know, he he's not the kind of guy who cares about what you or I or anybody else thinks. He's just gonna go out and do it the way that he knows best. and see where that gets him. And um he's not gonna have any regrets if it doesn't work out well either.
I could tell you that. You know, I I know that some people have said After my story came out, I I saw some comments on social media like, Oh, he's gonna regret making these bold statements about wanting to have the highest scoring offense in history or, you know, having the most consecutive wins. You know, i hey, it it might happen, it might not. I don't think he's gonna regret anything. He's he's just gonna go there and drop the gloves and and you know, throw the fists and we'll see where h what what happens.
I I gotta tell ya, I the more that you hear from this guy, the more you watch the things that he's been able to do, it's like I I there's part of me that can't believe the Bears have hired a coach this good. Like given all the people that have come through the place, all the different elements of them that have somehow uh gone askew. I I just think it's pretty extraordinary that they got, and I don't know how to term it, the only head coach in the NFL that majored in computer science and math. I mean, it's like he's just a different cat. He's his own man. He doesn't care about anything, as you say. They really hit
