Chapter 1: What humorous exchanges set the tone for the episode?
Grody, I'm going to find you in the streets, man. I'm going to find you in the streets. And what I do, you know exactly what time it is. The bear hug I'm going to give you is going to, you're going to be able to move.
Is that the most affectionate threat you've ever heard from somebody? They're going to find, Jarrett Payton is going to find Grody in the streets.
You know what? He deserves it, too. What? Exactly. That's exactly how you be acting after you bait somebody, after you gaslight somebody.
Just the question that I asked him. I did put him on the spot, and I prefaced with it the three-year contract for either Kevin Byard or Daquan Brisker.
Grody, what are you doing? Yeah, we got to keep that, Tyler. That's just going to be evergreen.
That's kind of an every day.

Chapter 2: How do the hosts feel about Grody's street encounters?
I'm sorry. Might be an every segment question for Mark Grody.
I'm going to walk out of the next hug with him with a cracked rib. That's what I know. That's what I know.
I'm looking forward to that confrontation.
Don't feel too bad about it, Groats, because I did Cassie Carlson's show. today, and that was one of the questions. Oh, really? But I bet you knew the question before you went in there. I did not. Oh, really? And she didn't do it as bluntly as you did because she's a skilled broadcaster.
Yeah, I get it.
I expect more from everybody. Trust me. But it was a question, and I kind of went back and forth on how I felt about it. So you didn't have an answer? I landed on Bayard. Thank you.
We did yesterday, Groats. We had the segment yesterday. Carmen Vitale is in.

Chapter 3: What are the implications of Kevin Byard's potential contract?
That's Lawrence Holmes. Oh, hi. Hi, guys. I know, and I'll get to thinking, everybody.
But, yeah, you... I listened to the segment live on the way in, and I was like, ooh... Yeah, I guess we should probably talk about that. And then I landed on Kevin Byard. It's Byard. Come on, guys.
Risk averse. Let's be smart here. It's football. It's a violent sport. It's a collision sport.
But you also get like so many intangibles with Kevin Byard where you get the leadership, you get like the vet kind of coach on the field. And he's an Ironman. He is an Ironman. He hasn't missed a game in what, 10 years?
Knock on wood, because poor TJ Edwards this year. He was also injury averse.
But Jaquan didn't miss a game this year. That's true, but it seems like he's still one concussion away from what do we do with him. He's tightrope walking on the edge. There's no doubt about it, but if you said to me a two-year deal with Jaquan... I was brisker by an eyelash, but an eyelash is an eyelash.
But I feel like you could probably get Kevin Bayard for less than what you'd have to sign Jaquan too. I don't know. It's going to be hard with that all pro thing hanging out there.
That's true. Interceptions are seductive to the rest of the league.
Somebody else is going to be ready to pay for this.

Chapter 4: What insights do the hosts share about injury risks in football?
Layla's already on the show. Carmen's sitting in for Speeds and then Mina is going to be on our show. Is this like, is this, is the revolution happening?
Yes. Is that what's going on? We were trying to be sneaky about it. So not televised, but on radio. Yeah. The revolution is not televised.
We offended some people in our previous segment, not the Terry Pagula, but the one before that.
We offend people every day. What are we all doing out here offending people?
Acknowledging people. That's a problem for others.
Acknowledgement is important.
I think so. I think there's room for everyone.
I would like to acknowledge Carmen, the cookie maker. Because I ate like eight of her cookies the last time she brought cookies.
I didn't bring cookies this time. This was a last minute.

Chapter 5: What are the humorous moments related to cookies during the show?
Short kings need love, too. What's wrong with making out with Smurfs? Is that what you're about to say, Marshall? Not when you're getting ready to get on TV.
Not when you're getting ready to have to go to work.
You know why I know about those cookies? Is that Kaylin Kaler posted them on her Instagram.
Yes.
Yes.
I mean, I put the cookie in that reel, too. You'll see a snippet of it. But we had no idea that it was going to bleed blue all over our...
That's terrible.
It was offensive, like I said.
Good on the butcher for giving you guys the heads up on that. I know. It's true.

Chapter 6: What discussions arise about the importance of grocery shopping?
Yeah, they did. I tried to hide in a space that wasn't really obvious. The gym is how I got... I don't like people seeing me in a swimsuit, no matter what the weight is. No, I know. I know. I get it.
That's how I got summoned to Roger Goodell's office back in Minnesota for the Brett Favre, I'm out, but no, I'm starting game. I'm in the gym in Minneapolis in the Bears hotel, and I'm on a treadmill next to Jerry Angelo. And, you know, I get an alert that's like, oh, Brett Favre is starting after being listed as out. Not as questionable. Not as doubtful. Out. You can't do that anymore.
So I'm like, Jerry, hey, man, sorry about all this. But, you know, Brett Favre is playing and he's like, oh, yeah. He's playing. And Jerry, like, jumped off the treadmill and had to tell everybody. And so I'm in the elevator talking with a couple coaches that I knew back then. And I was like, Favre's playing. And they're like, no, he's not. He was listed as out. And I'm like, no, he's playing.
And so then you see all the coaches scramble because it's a completely unfair thing that had happened. So then Roger did one of his talks where he pops up at a place. So he was doing a press conference and I was like, hi. Well, how is a player allowed to be out and then start a game? And then everyone laughed because ha ha ha. Because, of course, Lawrence is going to ask that question.
And then he didn't answer it. So then I came back and I was like, yeah. So remember earlier when I was like, hey. And then I got the, hey, who are you and who do you work for? And can you come over here and talk to us after the press conference is over? That was my gym story with NFL people.
I was in the right, though. But you did the right thing. I was going to say, you did the right thing.
I 100% did the right thing.
What did they say when they pulled you outside the class?
So that's not what we were here to talk about. And I was like, you're the commissioner of the league.
