No, listen, when I saw that the Bears got a return of a second round pick for DJ Moore, that was, it seemed like the writing was on the wall regardless, especially from Ryan Poole's comments this offseason during the combine in particular, where he talked so much about, oh, there's going to have to be some really tough decisions made.
And we were all just kind of like, all right, so DJ Moore is gone.
And now that that's happened, I mean, I thought his value really capped out at like four.
And to see that they got a two in return, which means the Bears would be picking twice in four picks in the second round, that was a deal that you do all day.
And, you know, I think that...
That was one of the Bears' deepest position areas, right?
Like they have a plethora of offensive weapons for Caleb Williams and that wide receiver room in particular.
DJ was the veteran there.
So I think from a locker room standpoint, he will be missed.
And I will personally selfishly miss him because it means his kids won't be running around as much and you won't get to see all those interactions, which were really fun.
Um, and I think he was needed this last season because that room is so young, but offensively, I don't really think that the bears are really taking much of a hit at this point, especially with, you know, going into year two under Ben Johnson and understanding the scheme that much more.
And those young players having that much more experience.
I just, especially given the return, I think that this was a whole run for the bears.
I think so, because of the fact that it's a trade, so it has nothing to do with free agency and all that.
So that should go through.
I don't think there was any deferment either as far as what they were trading.
So yeah, from everything I know about how this all works, I also have to say Trent McDuffie is one of my favorite players in the entire league.
So good.
So...
I'm so thrilled, and I still don't โ I'm with you guys.
