Chapter 1: Who is Heather Stephenson-Snell and what led to her obsession with revenge?
So this woman is a stalker, like a really dangerous one. Now the woman's name is Heather and Heather is 46 when the story starts and she's living in England and Heather works as a psychotherapist. And even though she's a psychotherapist, she also is very much a stalker. In 2002, Heather makes a simple decision that's gonna change her life forever.
See, she has two dogs, and she realizes one day that she doesn't have enough time to properly look after these dogs. And so she decides to hire a live-in dog sitter, which I didn't even know that was a thing, but apparently it's someone who will literally live at your house and take care of your dogs.
And so she places an ad in a local magazine looking for someone who can stay in her house and help with the dogs. And soon enough, she gets a reply from this guy, Adrian. Adrian is 31 and he's a handsome dude. Like he used to be a stripper, but now I guess he's a dog sitter. So anyway, he seems like the perfect guy for this job. And Heather hires him.
Then Adrian moves into her house with her and he starts taking care of the dogs. And of course, after some time, Heather, she starts thinking, Adrian kind of fine. And Adrian thinks she kind of fine too. And so they start smashing. Now, it doesn't take a long time for Adrian to realize that a lot of things are off about Heather. Like she's always drunk on alcohol or high on cocaine.
Not only that, Heather has quite a collection of weapons in her home. Like multiple knives and swords and guns. And sometimes she uses them to threaten him when she gets mad at him. So of course, Adrian, he doesn't like any of this. This is not what he signed up for. So after only three weeks working on the job, he decides this is enough. I want out. But Heather, she isn't ready to let him go.
She tells him, no way. And she threatens that if he leaves her, she'll find him wherever he goes. So now Adrian is scared for his life. I mean, she seems serious about this. So he's stuck there. And he just continues working, taking care of her dogs, hoping that one day he'll get a chance to flee. But then he finally does get that chance.
Because Heather enrolls in a four-month screenwriting course all the way over in New York City. So she leaves for a while. And once she's gone, Adrian seizes the opportunity and he flees. And he moves to the greater Manchester area. A few days later, somehow Heather finds out that he left her house and she is pissed.
So from New York, she starts calling him over and over and over again, talking about how much she loves him and how he shouldn't leave her. Then she gets his new address and she starts sending him spicy letters, trying to talk him into getting back with her.

Chapter 2: How did Heather's relationship with Adrian Sinclair begin and end?
But Adrian, he doesn't want spicy letters. He is done with Heather. So he just ignores all of it and he tries to move on with his life. And that is when he meets this woman, Diane. Now, Diane, she's a nice lady, you know, a single mother of two, and Adrian thinks she kinda foine, and Diane likes him right back.
So, very quickly, they start dating, and, you know, they're happy together, and it seems like things are going well for them. But then, Heather gets back from New York, and she finds out that Adrian is dating someone new, and she is furious. And so here is where she really loses her mind.
So Heather starts calling Adrian, determined to get him back, and she's like verbally abusing him and making death threats. She tells him that she put a bounty on his head, and she also claims that Diane is some kind of prostitute for some reason, and she even threatens to hurt Diane.
Then it isn't long before Heather somehow gets Diane's contact info, and she starts contacting her and threatening her directly. And several months pass. And at this point, Adrian, he's had enough. So he, Diane, and her kids, they decide to move 30 miles away in Huddersfield. But unfortunately, this doesn't work. Heather somehow finds out where they are and she calls them and harasses them.
So they end up moving again, back to the Greater Manchester area. Now, of course, Heather doesn't stop. She won't stop. She even goes so far as to harass Diane's kids. Like she stalks them on their way to school and she takes pictures of them and stuff. And as terrible as that is, that's not even the worst thing she does. In 2003, she starts making false police reports.
claiming that Adrian and Diane are abusing the kids. And so police keep showing up to their place to investigate, but of course they never find any evidence of any wrongdoing because Adrian and Diane haven't done anything wrong. Now, after a while, Adrian gets the idea to leave and go stay with a friend while Diane and her kids remain in their home.
I guess he's hoping Heather would see this and think that he and Diane are not together anymore and that she'll stop bothering them. Well, surprisingly, this actually seems to work. After he leaves, Heather stops calling him and Diane. However, what he doesn't know is that Heather has gone radio silent because she's moved on to a different and much more sinister plan.
She's decided that she wants to end this once and for all and kill Diane. So she comes up with this whole plan to go to Diane's house and murder her and stage it to look like Adrian committed the crime. And to prevent the crime from being traced back to her, she decides she'll do it wearing Adrian's clothes, along with putting on a sheet ghost costume and even a scream mask over that.
And she then decides that the perfect night to do all this will be on Halloween, so that her wearing a costume won't raise suspicion in anyone. She also, of course, gets a shotgun. So now everything is perfect. She just has to wait for Halloween. Well, soon Halloween arrives and Heather gets her costume on and she drives all the way to where Diane is living.
