Morning, Darcy. Congratulations, mate. Nice to put speculation to bed and recommit to the Saints. And I read and I loved what you had to say. You said you wanted to repay the faith. You wanted to try and deliver something to the long-waiting and suffering St Kilda fans who've only had one grand final or premiership in their years. So it must be nice to have that done for you.
Yeah, 100%. Bit of weight off my back, but... Yeah, it's good to sort of focus on the next four to five games now and, yeah, hopefully deliver something special, as I said, for the Saints fans. But, yeah, I really just feel that we're building something special with the young court at the moment. And, yeah, it's pretty exciting.
Just having that off your shoulders, having that lifted off your shoulders, that sort of weight of the conversation around you and the expectation and the speculation, all those things, did it weigh a little bit on you or a lot on you?
To be honest, I just had such good support both on and off field. I don't think it weighed too much on me.

The club was great and obviously my family as well just to allow me to focus on playing good team footy. I thought I was able to do that. It's good to just fully focus on the Saints now and focus on the next four to five games.
The next four to five games, yep, is still very much in the frame to play off in one of these wildcard games this year. A lot of people said, you know, at the beginning of this when it was announced, this is all Mickey Mouse, it doesn't mean anything for teams. But I get the feeling for those that are around the mark, like St Kilda, it does mean a lot to be a participant in the wildcard round.
Yeah, no, 100%. I think it means a lot for both us as a club and the fans to still be in contention for finals. And yeah, we're all motivated to sort of play in that wildcard game. And yeah, hopefully we can get there and then I guess anything can happen. So yeah, as I said, we're just focusing on playing some good footy over the next four weeks.
So Darcy Wilson's with us. He's just recommitted to the Saints for another couple of years. Just a quick one on this, Dar. So talk us through how it works for a young man such as yourself. You've got a manager. Does he sit you down and say, look, you need to be aware. This is what's out there. These are interested. Or have you said, nah, deal with St Kilda and let's see if we can get that done first?
Yeah, so my manager, Trotz, nah, he's been good the whole time. He sort of mentions... um you know what other clubs were sort of coming but um at the end of the day he said like yeah obviously just focus on playing good footy at St Kilda and that was my main priority this year um and uh yeah at the end of the day I was I was happy at the Saints and it was it was good to get something done but you know I've never sort of thought about um you know, other clubs at any stage of the year, I was mainly focused at St Kilda.
Great. That is great news. And when you're in this process and you're walking down the corridor and there's Ross's office, do you go back the other way or is you happy just to run into him at any time?
