Chapter 1: What benefits does Tim experience from his new Tempur pillow?
Breakfast with Gary and Tim. Morning, everyone.
Great to have you with us Wednesday, April 29th. It is McCafe Menu Try McCafe's Drink Range. Tom Green, lean, clean, joins us for his weekly spot out of 8 o'clock. Shane Crawford is in the studio at 8.30. That's always a joy. Andrew Russell's here for Wellness Wednesday. We've got a little special 6.40 Butcher Club chat. We like to do this once a year.
Chapter 2: How does Garry's tummy sleeping affect his sleep quality?
Peter Robinson, the director. The Butcher Club's going to be in the studio as well. Whisp's not here. He might miss out. All the footy news and discussions, as always. As I say, good morning to the Whisper.
Good morning, Gary. Good morning, everybody. I've had a great night's sleep. A great night's sleep, thanks to the temper pillow. I tell you what, I know it wasn't meant for me. No, it was mine. You very kindly gave me... Why didn't I get one of the temper pillows, by the way? Everybody else in the whole building, everybody even up on level five got a pillow.
Chapter 3: What recent news is there about the Melbourne CEO replacement?
I'm not sure you're part of the temper family. I'm not sure you've done any live reads for them over the years, have you?
Oh, is that what you have to do? I don't know. You've got to sing for your supper, don't you? I'm not sure.
I'm not sure, but I'm sure. Anyway, had a great night's sleep. Jason will be listening and he'll sing one in for you. My word, he will.
Chapter 4: How do Tim and Garry compare their relationship to a rom-com?
I had a great night's sleep. Did you use it seriously or not? 100% I did because I do have trouble with my pillows and sleeping at night time. And it's sort of when you open it up and you look at it and you think, oh, is that sort of – it looked a bit hard and it looked a bit sort of – Oh, no. I'm not sure it's going to be nice and comfortable to put my head on, but – I didn't wake up.
You didn't wake up? I did not wake up until 3.33 this morning. Wow.
That's an endorsement right there. I don't use pillows, so that's why I was happy to give it up to you. How can you not sleep on a pillow? Do you sleep with your head on the mattress? Yep. Or on pumpkin.
Chapter 5: What controversies surround the local footy salary cap?
I sleep on my tummy. Like a baby. I sleep on my stomach, yeah. What's funny about that? You sleep on your tummy without a pillow. I put a little tummy pillow under my tummy because my back goes into an arch and then it becomes painful. So I have a tummy pillow that I sleep on my tummy here.
So you've had to adjust your sleeping because of your back over the years? Is that what you've done?
Yeah, I don't know why. I think I just found that position and I don't think it helps my neck. But anyway, I've been doing it that long now. I don't think I can go back.
You're positively glowing this morning. Where did you get to after the show yesterday? Did you go and have some health and special Gary treatment?
I did, actually. Did I tell you that? Yeah, you did. But look at your skin.

Chapter 6: What insights does Garry share about the new season of SAS?
Nicky booked me into this. That's glowing. Lymphatic sort of facial stuff because I have sinus issues. You've got a lot of issues. I'm just about caught.
So what did they do?
What did they do? Just tell me about the treatment. It was an hour and a half. You've had a facial before, haven't you? It was an intense hour and a half facial. It massages all these different parts of your face where you get a lymphatic drain and all this sort of stuff. I had a bit of a snooze while I was in there. Right. I had a mask put on there for a while.
That sent me off into a deep sleep. The Lone Ranger? Which mask did you choose? I'm not sure. I couldn't see, but you end up having your whole face encased in this stuff.
Chapter 7: How does Garry's Apple Watch impact his daily life?
And it's supposed to be good for your sinuses. No, no, no. Just do... Right. With the fingers. And where does one get this done? It was in Chapel Street. Right. Lovely old lady. Lovely old lady. They've been there for a long time, this business. I've forgotten the name of it. They tried to get bought out, I understand, by one of the massive, massive conglomerates, and these people said no.
They just wanted to go about their own business.
Ah, there you go. Yeah. There you go. So you sound like you've had a busy day, and then all that Melbourne news came. I was trying to text you, trying to find out what the hell was going on.
That was what happened. I got out of that thing. You gave me nothing. And you've got to turn your phone off. I put it on off silent on the regular, and it just went. It was like a swarm of mosquitoes. A swarm of bees had come into my pocket. So, yeah, that was a big, big surprise.
Did you get to the bottom of it, or are we going to get to the bottom of it out of 7 o'clock this morning?
Yeah.
There's very little, for people out there, there's very little that goes on at the Melbourne Football Club that you don't have.
No, well, I'll hand on heart promise you I didn't know about that.

Chapter 8: What are the challenges facing local footy clubs with salary caps?
So I did a bit of a scramble, a few phone calls and a chat with a couple of people, but there's not much. I think there's some issues to be worked through. So they're all playing their cards pretty close to their chest, both Paul and the Melbourne Footy Club. But there'll be a new announcement. There'll be a new CEO as of... This morning. It'll be announced today.
Oh, wow. They're a long way down the track then.
Yeah. Yeah, no. They've identified someone who they think is going to take them forward and we'll find out who that is at around 10, 10.30 today with a statement, I reckon.
Right, and Cookie's going to be the interim CEO. Yep, he will be the... Just a gun for hire, Cookie.
Oh, well, he's retired. I think Claire, his partner, is pretty happy that he's going to go and do some work. But he's... No, no, his wife. I mean, he'll be fantastic in the interim. It's great to have his eyes over the joint while they wait for the new person to get started in three or four months' time. But you won't lose much with Brian Cook at the helm for that period of time.
You know how a rom-com starts, you know, when often there's rom-com movies and they start out and they don't like each other, they sort of, but there's sort of some sort of connection that's between him and her and that type of thing. The rom-com? The rom-com, you know, and then they sort of slowly the story unfolds and then they fall in love and that type of thing.
I've been noticing this with you and Ray on 360. I think there's a level, anybody that's a regular watcher of 360, I'd be interested in your feedback. I've just noticed that there's, the two of you are coming together more and more on a weekly basis.
And it's just starting to break through that I think there's going to be a great, not a romance, but a great bromance that might develop as a result of Ray being a regular on your programs.
Are you sensing that as well? Yeah, I am. And I can promise you that it's not, as a lot of people suggest, that I hate him and he hates me. That is not the case. No. But it's good to have him on, and he's an entertainer, as you well know. And he plays in a space that not many people want to play in, and that is the umpiring space, or don't want to support. So hopefully it gives some clarity.
