Good morning, Tommy. Good morning, everybody. I spoke to Gary yesterday. In fact, I was supposed to tell Brooke, our producer, that he wants to come, not that he wants to come on, but he's very happy to come on this morning. He's got a couple of things he wants to get off his hairy chest at about 8.40 this morning. So I reckon we can probably fit him in.

It's a lot. It's an old gag. It's an old sort of footy show gag. I don't want to start on a 3AW current affair type topic, but I just want to put this out there this morning. And this is something that a lot of people are talking about at the moment. But I'm leaving at Shoreham very early in the morning. There's been some potholes. There are potholes on the road between Shoreham and Flinders – sorry, not Flinders, but Merricks that have been there for ages. And during the daylight, you remember they're there, but, you know, like driving at a very early hour in the morning –
Just as I, and I just reminded myself as I got towards this pothole that's there, that's been there for months, that hasn't been fixed. And I got on the edge of the pothole. So I didn't do, I don't think I've done any damage. But for that moment, you think, oh no, is my tire going to blow or whatever it is. Is it? I mean, surely we can fix this stuff, don't we? And I'll see after that, I was thinking, you know, like we pay our taxes and the least that we can expect from the money that we pay to the tax people is that the government, the state government might make sure that the roads are safe. Is that too much to ask this morning? Is that too much to ask?
Tim, it's 6.03am and I can't think of a better way to start. It is bang on. The roads should be safe for the people who drive on them. And if you had stacked this morning on a pothole, what would we be doing on SEN? What would your car be doing? How unsafe is that for you? There are so many other issues associated with it.
So if I get damaged, this is what I'd like to know. If it was to damage your car, and I was reading about a couple of people yesterday that this had happened to and they'd received like... bills for $2,000, $3,000 or whatever it might have been to have their car fixed. Can I send or can you send an invoice to the state government if you damage your car because they haven't repaired a pothole on the road?
You can send an invoice to whoever you want. It doesn't mean they're going to accept it, Tim.
All right. But what if you just say, okay, well, look, this is what I'll do. We don't need to have a transaction here. You send me, I'll just hold back the $2,500 that I was supposed to pay for my tax or my land tax or whatever it might be, and we'll call it quits. I'll send you all the invoices that are related to the damage that's been done to my car and
There we go. It's fixed. I think that's a very fair solution. How would you go changing a tyre at 4.15am in the dark in the middle of winter, Tim?
