Chapter 1: What TV shows were discussed last night?
Breakfast with Gary and Tim Well it's alright Riding around in the breeze Well it's alright Morning, everyone. How are you? Wednesday, May the 27th. McCafe Menu. Try McCafe's new drinks range today. She's been a big 24 hours. Kevin Sheedy, Essendon legend, is going to join us at around quarter past seven or just after. Lots to discuss with Sheeds.
Neil Danaher's passing, of course, and also the Essendon vacant coaching job. Lean, clean Tom Green, the injured GWS star, is always a great chat. Andrew Russell's in for Wellness Wednesday as well. As I say, good morning to the Wisps. Tim Watson, welcome, Whispers. Hi, good morning, Gary.
It has been a heavy, heavy couple of days. A very, very heavy couple of days. Can we just lighten the load a little bit this morning for the first hour and maybe get back to something that resembles a ramble or not? I'd love to. I would love to.
But you can't. No, no.
We can?
Let's throw it open to anything other than Essendon, James Heard, Brad Scott, Zach Merritt, and anyone else until we get to it. Because it is a massive story, and there were big developments overnight with Jimmy sticking his hand in the air saying, I'm in, and Brad speaking and saying, I said for Zach to go, amongst other things.
Yep. Okay, we'll get to that at some stage. Because you had Brad Scott on one of the shows last night. You had the agenda setters. And there's no doubt in my mind it would have been a pay gig, and that's fine.

Chapter 2: How does Tim Watson engage with his grandkids through Lego?
And then they would have been thinking there's a very competitive tussle going on there between the agenda setters and classified. And then they would have thought, great, we've signed up Brad Scott. We've got the man of the moment. The first time he's going to speak about what's happened at Essendon. And lo and behold, he goes on Footy Classic. He's on that show, though, isn't he?
He doesn't go on it. No, no, no. Wait till I finish. He goes on Footy Classified and talks about the fact that he's putting his hand up to be the Essendon coach. Like, that probably gazumped what they'd already had on the agenda set. So it was a big, big footy night on the TV last night.
A big, big night. Yeah, it was. And it ain't going anywhere. So if you're sick of the Essendon story... Maybe stay with us for a while because it is going to hit the airways again. And what you've got to say on it is always of great interest to us. Maybe not others in this joint, but to us it is.
Are you interested in the Vinnie Jones doco or not? Don't look at me like that. Yes.
Are you interested in the Vinnie Jones doco or not? Well, I watched, is this the Untold? Yes. Yeah, I watched a great Untold over the weekend. I watched the Liverpool winning the Champions League at Istanbul.
Yes.
And they went three, they got three nil down against Real Madrid.
That was unbelievable.

Chapter 3: What health hack did Garry share for heartburn relief?
Unbelievable doco. But that's not the Vinnie Jones one. The Vinnie Jones one is a standalone one. It's a doco about Vinnie Jones. You know Vinnie Jones who became an actor, don't you?
He's in the lock.
Yeah, lock, stock and two smoking barrels or whatever it is. Is that what it's called? Lock, stock and two smoking barrels? Yeah. Yeah, no, he's in that. And he's in other things too. He's good. He's a really good actor. Like he's done a great job. But he started off at Wimbledon, Leeds, Sheffield. He was sort of like, at Wimbledon FC, he was part of what they called the crazy gang. Yeah.
So he was sort of like a, he's almost like a hood out there. Yeah, he was. He was a hoodlum. Yeah. So I think it dropped on Tuesday. I've been so busy, but I think it dropped on Tuesday. Well, you have been busy too. God, you've been busy. A lot. There's been a lot going on. But as a kid, did you do Lego at all? No.
Chapter 4: What insights were shared about the Vinnie Jones documentary?
Because I haven't touched a Lego in my life. We couldn't afford it at our house. No, we couldn't afford it either.
We used to take sticks and make those. We used to gather icy pole sticks and make those little triangle things. That was our Lego. And then fling them at people.
Did you? Oh, we used to wait for the rain to come and then go down. We used to race our icy pole sticks down the gutters. Good, clean fun back in the day. Anyway, Woofy, he asked me last night to give him a hand. He's doing a two-sided, it is a two-sided monster truck in Lego. All right. And he goes page by page, Gary. How old's Woofy? Yeah. He's five.
So he showed me last night, there's 152 pages of instruction, right? And he goes methodically, page, and I said to him, can we just put the wheels together? And he said, Opa, you don't put the wheels together until they come up on the page because you've got to build the whole thing. That's your problem. I can't read instruction. I can't read instruction.
He sits there and he just goes meticulously through it and you've got to piece all the little bits and things together and he'll ask me to find something. I say, I can't see it, mate. I'm sorry. I'll sit here and I'll talk to you, but I can't help you much with your Lego.
Sam from Rio says, did you actually watch the Liverpool doco? I just said I did, Sam.

Chapter 5: Who would be cast to play Pickers in a movie?
Clean your ears out. It was against AC Milan. Well, fair enough. I said Real Madrid. They're all the same to me. I don't know much about soccer, but thanks for straightening me up this morning. Yeah, so did you get it finished? No, no, no, no.
It's like a week-long project for him. Oh, it's still going. Oh, that's how long it takes. Gary, it's a two-sided monster truck. You don't put that together in five minutes.
Well, that's grandfatherly duties that is coming my way at some stage. I'm not sure I'd be any good at Lego. You've got to be very patient at Lego.
Okay, so we've got the Lego going on one side of the table, and then we've got Junie going with the mannequin, and I'm cutting fabric for her because then she has to style the dresses herself. I would pay good money to see you cutting out... I made an error. I did make an error, which I don't think she's aware of yet, but she probably will discover it at some stage.
Happy birthday to my daughter, Tess, by the way. Happy birthday, Tess. Yeah, happy, happy birthday. Day after my mum's. Not sure she'd be up listening yet, but happy birthday to you, darling. Yeah, nice.
I've got a little health hack for you. So this is... Good. This one works. I've been waiting for your next health hack. Yeah, this definitely works.

Chapter 6: What are the latest updates about Essendon’s coaching situation?
I get heartburn. Digestion, is it heartburn?
Yeah, yeah.
It's uncomfortable. Yeah, it's not good. Sometimes after some food you eat. Anyway, I always used to just neck a Gaviscon or a bit of Mylanta. I'm not sure that's any good. Full of all sorts of stuff. It tastes disgusting. This is the answer. Apple cider vinegar. I've heard of this before. I'm telling you. Does it work? It works. Just a little nip? You got to take a little shot glass.
So you mix it with a little bit of water because she's a pretty potent brew. And you neck it. How quickly? Pretty quick. Healthy. And, you know, this is... Because the problem with... Now, maybe there's doctors listening. The indigestion is you think that you've got too much acid and it's bubbling up your throat. But I think it's the opposite.
Right.
You've got to get more. Right.

Chapter 7: How does apple cider vinegar help with digestion?
So you have a good neck of the old apple cider and away you go.
That's a good tip for people this morning. It is. Because a lot of people suffer from health.
No, a lot of people do. And you carry quickies in your pocket. I've done all this. You carry quickies in your pocket and you get Mylanta tablets and all that sort of stuff. I'm sure they're no good for you, but you'd do anything to try and get rid of it. But now, just have a good old swig of the old apple cider and away you go.
She's a bit tough going down. You're going to make a lot of people comfortable this morning having given that advice to them.
Watched the Vinnie Jones doco last night. Fantastic. Highly recommended it. That's from Andrew.
It looks good. A lot of people still out there getting hold of Legends. Have you finished Legends? Yes. It was good, wasn't it?
A four puffer. A four puffer? Yeah, I liked it. I'm glad you liked it. I really liked it. I'm not big on those English things. Slowish at the start. Yeah, a bit slow out of the blocks, but it came home strong. You know what else I've been watching?

Chapter 8: What personal anecdotes were shared about childhood experiences?
Kylie.
Oh, and? Fascinating. Parts? Netflix. Did they start with you and her smoking cigarettes behind the garage or not?
No, Tim, they certainly did not. It is a fascinating story. I don't know. Well, would you like it? I don't know. I think you watched a bit of it.
No, I saw it come up advertising it because, you know, when Netflix sort of flicks all the things across the screen, the top 10 most viewed shows today or whatever it was, it was there. And so then I sort of saw the opening of it with the guy answering the phones. He had 30 phones going or something like that.
So I knew that bit, but I've never really been interested in Kylie, so I can't see myself watching it. Watch your mouth out. I know it's an anti-Australian to say that, but I've never really been interested in her. Tell me what's interesting about her, and I might be swayed to watch it.
She's just a normal, average Camberwell girl that grew up in Canterbury, got on The Neighbours. They showed the early Neighbours episode. She's just a little bogan on Neighbours, hadn't done a little bit of acting as a kid. Her sister- Danny was the renowned singer because she was on the old young talent team.
Right.
Danny, older or younger than Kylie? Not sure. Okay. But she had got a, anyway, she was on Neighbours and lo and behold, she becomes the biggest selling female artist in the world. The little girl from Canterbury. Did she? Come on, Whisker. Okay. Danny's younger.
It's one of the most extraordinary stories. I didn't realise that she became that big on the world stage. Oh, massive. Like bigger than Beyonce. Big. Big. What about Babs?
