I think, as you said to me before, the first half, we were testing each other, you know, as we were playing the same formation, really, so I think both teams played in a different way, but, you know, we were seeing how each other was going to play and then, you know, thankfully we got the goal before half-time and that settled everything and then in the second half they had to come at us and we managed to get the second.

Yeah, I'm just really happy to be playing wherever the manager wants me to and I hope that gives the club some versatility with me. It means we can play different formations and there's lots of options so I think it's only a benefit for the manager and for the team.
Dele, in terms of goal scoring, you're on fire right now. Do you feel like you're going to score every time you go out there?
Yeah, I think today it seemed like I couldn't use my feet, just my head today. I think I didn't get on the board as much as I would have liked to, but I think it was important for the team that we got them goals, and I'm happy to help and get the goals, but I think most importantly, no matter who scores, we won the game today.
Was it about positioning for you, finding space between their back three?
Yeah, it was hard.

There wasn't much space for me personally. I was opening up the space for Chris and some of the other boys. Like I say, I think it was a solid performance today for the boys and I'm happy to get on the score sheet again.

And at the same time to close the gap on them because there are bigger things in our mind than just stopping them. You know, we want to do well ourselves. So I think that was a big statement for us tonight and hopefully now we can kick on even further.
What does it do for your title charge, Dilly? I think, you know, obviously it's a big statement for us, but we're happy to stay underneath the radar and just keep taking these games as they come. Like we did last season, you know, we just sort of dug away and kept performing and kept getting the wins. And that's what we're going to do this season.

They had the edge. I think they have got a really talented squad, a really talented team. Abundance of ability and you could see that today. What is really important for them that they... Very hard for the forward players tonight. Both teams were getting behind the ball. The minute they lost it, they got behind the ball. Very difficult. We were saying during the game for Costa and Harry Kane tonight, they didn't get a second on the ball. It suited people. Even Dele Alli said, I played with my head tonight, not my feet. He couldn't get on the ball because they play so compact.
They're so well organised when they're defending. The distances between the midfield players and their back four is minimal. It
It's tailor-made for someone arriving late, you know, like Dele Alli did on two occasions, getting a jump on someone, you know, looking at the man on the ball, which was Ericsson twice, you know, can thread the ball through the eye of a needle, he can deliver it where he wants to. Did it twice. Dele Alli read the situation perfectly twice.
Twice he got between Moses and Azpilicueta, and that was a difference.

You look at the players above him, you know, strikers, he's quicker there to that mark than the likes of Gerrard, Scholes, Lampard and Beckham in their day. Jimmy, just how good is Dele Alli?
He's very good, but I think there's still a lot more to come from him. You can see his movement, you can see his understanding in the game, getting space in tight areas, finding where he has to be to score goals, but also his assists and his understanding of the game. I think he's got a lot more to come.

The only thing will stop him if he stops learning, if he stops wanting to learn. You know, he mentioned about keeping his feet firmly on the ground, or the team keeping their feet on the ground. The boy's got everything. He's got... See, what he does, you know, he's 20 years old, he'll run forward without the ball. Teams don't like to play against that.
You know, he makes the late runs and he gets two goals from it tonight. He's got the athleticism to do that from the first minute to the last. Every time I watch this boy play, I think we end up talking like this about him. The sky's the limit for him.
As long as he keeps wanting to learn, as long as the right people are around him giving the right information, then he's destined to be a superstar.
He's got similarities of Frank Lampard running into the box, coming there, wanting to score, having that... that little bit between his teeth, I'm going to score, he has that, Frank Lampard had that.
He's got an edge to him as well, which as long as that's kept under control, all the top men had that. You don't want to lose. You know about that. They look at you a certain way, and you know there's something there more than most players, and he's got that, and as well as having all the... God-given talents, talking about athleticism, and his technique, he'll learn the game.
At 20, you hardly understand what the game's about, but he's already grasped a large part of that, and he should only get better and better, and I come back to it, as long as he's managed right, and he turns up every day and wants to learn from those around him and his coach.
