Chapter 1: What were the key highlights of Tottenham's 4-1 victory over West Ham?
Kane and Spurs were brilliant today. 4-1 winners, he and Eric Dier with Patrick Davison.
Guys, well played. Harry just steamrolled a team that have been excellent away from home. How good was it from Spurs today?
Yeah, that's probably the best performance we've had this season. We come out of the blocks flying. It was full of energy. The whole week training has been incredible. So we went into the game, just tried to put that out on the pitch. And yeah, of course, we come out with a good result.
Just take us inside the mind of a striker. Eight in five now for you, having had that run of not scoring. How different do you feel in front of goal?
It's part of being a striker, when your confidence is high you just feel like you're going to score each game that comes along. I'm delighted with the way things are going but the most important thing is that we're winning games and we're playing very well as well.
Yeah, since you did get a couple, can we joke about the one you missed towards the end of the first half? What happened?
Yeah, I just tried to put my foot through it and just probably got a bit excited. But, no, again, like I say, that's stuff you've got to work on in the training field. I'll be punching myself that I didn't get a hat-trick, but that's football, obviously. I'm just delighted that we've got a win.
Eric, another excellent performance from you, having been a defender in and out of the team last season, a holding midfielder for England now, just tell us why the role seems to suit you so well.
I'm not sure, to be honest, you know, I'm just really enjoying playing and playing every week and obviously, you know, hopefully I've adapted well to this new position and, you know, we can keep playing how we've been doing and I can keep doing well as well and Harry keeps scoring some goals then, I think we're on the right track, so...

Chapter 2: How did Harry Kane perform in this match?
Harry, what about this record in London derbies, 12-14? I think you said it was down to the home cooking.
Yeah, I don't know what it is, to be honest. I've... Yeah, I might have to faint the misses for cooking the right foods. But I just enjoy it. I said before the game, I enjoy the atmosphere of these games, obviously, especially when we're at home. The crowd were incredible today. They got right behind us and we put in a good performance.
Eric, I think it's just four points off top now.
How high are you looking? Yeah, we're going game by game. We're not going to get excited. We're going to keep doing what we've been doing since the beginning of the season. I think if you ask any Spurs player, that's what he'll tell you. We're just going to keep on trying to perform how we've been doing, work hard.
And we know if we can perform like we did today, then we're going to get wins and we're going to push right up the top. So we just need to do that.
As a back four, it's very hard to be critical of Tottenham today. I thought Alderweireld's been a brilliant signing and he seems to have brought the best out of the Tongan as well, doesn't he, Scott?
Yeah, he does. We were speaking just during the game about how the back four are working as a unit. It's incredible, really. it's a massive part of their game. That's probably hours on the training field and obviously the coach working with them in terms of drilling them and really bringing the play up and condensing it. I think that's the key part of why Tottenham can go and press teams so high.
That's actually what Harry Kane spoke about this, didn't he? Before the game, how they do that pressing. What's the key to what Pochettino does?
It's hard work. It's obviously something you do on the training ground.

Chapter 3: What insights did Eric Dier provide about his role in the team?
What Jamie says there, where you look up and you've got no options because it's so tight. It's very, very difficult.
And the problem West Ham had today was in that situation, you're looking to probably put it in behind a little bit and get a bit of pace. And obviously Andrew Carroll up front today never really probably got going. And in them situations, like I said, they always have numbers around you. You know, Tottenham, at every point you see it today, there was always one or two players around the play.
And like I said, in them situations with such a high line, you probably want to plan behind a little bit and maybe just get them pushed back to their own goal. But, listen, you've been in them games, Shane, where it's literally, it becomes so condensed and so tight. And before you know it, you're looking around thinking, it's going to be a tough day today.
And I think West Ham, it was one of them days for them today, to be honest with you.
Well, it's been another excellent weekend for this man. Spurs 4-1 winners today. Maurizio Pochettino with Patrick Davison.
Maurizio, especially on the back of an international break, was that an extremely focused, high-level Spurs performance?
Yes, high-level performance was fantastic and we feel very proud for the player. The effort was brilliant and the way that we played today and we showed how we can play, and we need to keep an all-season performance that we showed today. It's not very easy, but today I congratulate the players. Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic job.
Again, a very good team like West Ham, and I congratulate the players and I'm very pleased for them.
Harry Kane spoke to us before the match about the plan to press West Ham high up the pitch. How important was that today?

Chapter 4: How did Tottenham's defensive strategy contribute to their success?
If they can do that, great. But I love what Scott said there. I've been very fortunate this weekend. I went and watched Liverpool play yesterday and the way that Jurgen Klopp's got his team playing. And I've watched Pochettino today. Modern thinking managers, pressing teams high. It's been a joy to watch these two teams, these young managers as well.
And I think they're going to be, both of them, a real credit to these big clubs that they're performing for.
So Spurs are fifth, West Ham stay sixth. A bad day on the road for them today. Slavon Bilic with Patrick Davison.
Slaven, obviously it's a bad day.
What did you make of your team? Well, it's a bad day for us. I mean, they deserved to beat us. The game started OK. We were controlling it, we were OK, but then after when they scored the goal, it lifted them, we went a bit down.
To be fair, in the first half, I said at half-time, OK, it is 2-0, we are 2 down, but we are still in the game, I told the guys, because we played some good stuff in the first half. And then basically the third goal is the one that killed us in that sense. And to be fair, they were way better than us. We are a good team when we are totally focused, when we are playing as a team.
But tonight it wasn't the case. We were second best. And as I said, it was very, very bad. Did you think your team weren't totally focused then today? Well, we were focused, but they were more focused. They were better on the second balls, they were good. They are good in the moment when they lose a ball, they attack and they press us.

Chapter 5: What pressing tactics did Tottenham employ against West Ham?
But we couldn't get out of that situation and the ball was always coming back to them. To be fair, in the challenges, one against one, they were much quicker and much stronger than us.
How should you have dealt with that pressing?
Because it's how Maurizio Pochettino likes his team to play. Well, they press, but of course when they press they are risking too because they are pressing with four or five players. But you have to get out safe from that situation. So that first ball has got to be an easy ball and then you go to that area where they are lacking the players because they are pressing in some area of the pitch.
But... So, in theory, we've done it all yesterday, a few days ago, when we were preparing for the game. And it was all good, it looked good, and we had the plan, but... We just didn't manage to put it on the pitch. No Payet today for the first time, was that a factor? Oh, well, we know that. We knew before the game and we know that we're going to miss him. Of course, we're going to miss him.
But still, look, we're going to be without Payet for a long time now. And still I'm saying, and it's definitely the case, that we didn't lose 4-1 because... Payet was not playing. I mean, we have enough quality to replace him. And does it lastly hurt more because it's Spurs and a special game for West Ham? Well, it does. It does. It does. It is a special game. It is a derby game.
It's against Spurs. And to be beaten by them, like 4-1 in the game day, that we can't say that we were unlucky or that, it hurts more, of course. Thanks a lot. Thank you.
So clearly a painful defeat. Very bad, says Slavin Bilic. They will bid to bounce back at home to West Brom next weekend, a game you will see live on Super Sunday. The first part of the doubleheader, Norwich against Arsenal, follows. For them after that, it's Manchester United away, Stoke at home, trips to Swansea and Villa, Southampton at home.
Scott off the back now of two defeats and three beaten by Watford. The draw with Everton, the defeat today. Are they starting to level out West Ham or is this just a blip?
Well, it's definitely a blip, and it's just how quick you can bounce back from it, really. But it's just right there. A London derby 4-1, it hurts a little bit more as well, to be honest. So they need to try and regroup a little bit. I didn't think there was a lot in the game. For the first 15 minutes, the game plan looked quite well.
