We do have to start with the sad news of Martin Peters who sadly passed away after his fight with Alzheimer's.

Our thoughts from everyone here at Sky are with his family and friends. Yeah, absolutely. I knew him really, really well over the last... Well, I haven't seen so much over the last five years, that's for sure. But seeing him at West Ham, seeing him at Spurs Ground, the whole time doing the hospitality. What a gentleman. What a lovely bloke.
What are Steve Sidwell's thoughts on recent football events?
What a fantastic player as well. And one of my favourite games that I stick in the CD in is the 1966 World Cup final, and he was amazing. Geoff Hurst got all the credit for that game, but look at Martin Piers. I think that's the nice thing on the way into work this morning, hearing past players and managers speak about him and really describing him as a trailblazer for current midfielders. Yeah, if you had to liken him to a current midfielder who people know about, I'd say Frank Lampard. There was some good news yesterday. Yeah, we are the world champions. Liverpool, look at that. It's on the cards though, isn't it? When you saw the semi-final the other day, you knew that they would score a late goal and win the game because that is how their season is panning out.
And to be world champions, I know they had to fill the youngsters in the week in the Carabao Cup, but they won't worry about that now. They'll think, right, we're the champions of the world. Champions of the world. Does that give them momentum to carry on for the rest of the season? Or could it be a distraction? No, not at all. Not at all. The big one they want to win and their supporters want them to win isn't the World Club Cup, even though they've won it. It's the Premier League. And joining us on the sofa, a man who has represented clubs including Chelsea, Aston Villa and Brighton. And he's scored a total of 63 goals in his career.

Oh, wow. Where do I start? Moritz Woltz, myself, Jerome Thomas, Jermaine Pennant, David Bentley, Rowan Ricketts, Ben Chorley, Graham Stack, Jeremy Elliott.
