Jeff Sieh 0:02
Howdy my friend, really quick, I want to talk to you about something new we're doing here at Creator News Live. It's called the Cheat Sheet Club. Every week we take the best ideas from the episode and boil it down into a downloadable cheat sheet. The key takeaways, the tactics, the tools our guests actually use so you get the good stuff without having to re-listen or furiously try to take notes during the episode. Ever try to take notes while walking on a treadmill? Completely impossible. Possible. Don't ask me how I know. It's free, so go grab it at JeffC.com forward slash cheat sheet. That's J-E-F-F S-N-Sam I-E-H dot com forward slash cheat sheet. Alright, let's get into today's episode.

If I had the idea and shoot me if I said this out loud, but if I had the idea to start a second podcast. I think we'd all agree that that that's a pretty dumb idea. But if I take that idea to ChatGPT, Chat GPT would say, Mike, that's the best idea I've ever heard. That's absolute gold. You should absolutely sort of need a podcast. Right. Here's the opening script for you, right? And you would just dive into that project because most AI is a yes ma'am. But if I go to my AI chief of staff, it says to me, Mike, are you crazy? You can't possibly start a second podcast right now. You're barely hanging on to the one you have. Right. Let's talk about why you want to do that. Maybe there's something we need to talk about with the first podcast, or if you're really set on it, maybe it's later this year, right?
Mike Allton 1:28
It's the kind of check that every CEO needs to have. That's what my AI chief of staff does. That's that's when I realized I don't have to just use AI as a glorified search engine. Now it's a strategic partner.

There we go, Mike. Your very own intro via Suno. But Mike, let's just dive right into it because there's so much I want to talk to you about. But first I want to ask the audience. So I want you guys to kind of do a quick kind of gut check in the chat. When you open ChatGPT or Claude or Jim and I or whatever AI tool you're using, are you there mostly to ask or are you mostly there to build? So drop ask or build in the comments. wherever you're watching from, because I'd love to know because it really is kind of a mental shift that you need to make with all these new tools coming out. And it's it's even it was been hard for me to do it. And I feel like I'm pretty tech savvy. But we're going to talk about that with Mike today.
Jeff Sieh 3:27
But Mike, you've been at this for gosh, more than a decade. So for folks who only know you from the AI hat, take us back so to Mike Alton of like 2013. twenty fourteen, actually day to day. When what was like the social media hat and kind of your pivot story?
Mike Allton 3:43
Well, after fifteen years, I'm still not Jeff C. So I don't understand what I've been doing for all this time. Yeah, I used to build websites and I've had so many other careers, but I started blogging about social media for fun, frankly. And met incredible folks like you and Peg Fitzpatrick and decided, okay, this is this is a direction I can take with my career. Because I've I've figured out how I could help people, help businesses get online and actually have a presence on social media.
