Hey everybody, this is Carrie Clark from Speechandlanguage Kids.com. You are listening to episode number 16 of the Speech and Language Kids Podcast. This is the podcast with activities and resources for families of children with speech and language delays, as well as the professionals who serve them. Today I am super excited to have you with me because we have our very first interview on the Speech and Language Kids podcast. Today I have an interview. With Dr. Aaron Cunningham Cunningham of Keystone Chiropractic and Sensory Development Center in Columbia, Missouri. And I'm super excited about this. It's our very first interview. He's gonna be talking about his approach to helping children children with sensory problems.
He has a very different approach than you may have been exposed to before, so I really want to get the word out about this and uh make sure that people know what's out there because there are some non Medical options for these kids, kids like uh that have s problems like ADHD, um, attention problems, autism. speech and language problems, just the whole gamut. He really helps with a lot of different things and he's not the only one in the country doing this. So um he's got he's one of about sixty chiropractors in the nation that are using this approach and I'm just really excited for you all to get to to hear him talk about what he's doing and and how he's helping these kiddos. Dr. Aaron is doing some really cool things, helping kiddos with some sensory intra i issues and neurodevelopmental disorders. And he's also the very first guest on the podcast. Yes. Uh we are actually in Dr. Aaron's office right now. He is in the same city that I am and uh we're we're excited to sit down and chat about some of this sensory development stuff we got going on. It's kind of a a different approach than than what a lot of our listeners are probably exposed to. So I hope you guys find this interesting. So let's jump right in. Uh Doctor Aaron, tell us about your background and how you got started on this path.
Absolutely. Um I uh I always went to a chiropractor uh growing up, more so for you know, sports injuries during high school. And so I wanted to go into the military because my dad uh he's retired military and that's all I knew.
