Hey guys, it's Speech Language Pathologist Carrie Clark, and on today's episode of the Speech and Language Kids podcast, well, I'm kind of copping out. I have two kids homesick with flu, and they're Is a snowpocalypse happening, so we can't leave. So I know I'm not going to get through an actual recording of a podcast episode, but I wanted to pop in and just let you guys know that we have some really cool progress monitoring tools now available inside the hub. So, number one, you're going to fill out the screening checklist.
How do you fill out the free Speech/Language Screening Checklist?
This is a checklist that you'll give to everyone on a child's team, and it will identify which areas the child is struggling with, whether it's speech sounds, language, voice and resonance, fluency, functional communication. Communication or social communication? So that's the first one. You do this when there's a concern. And then based on that, you're going to fill out the progress monitoring tools, which are also inside the hub. So we have one of these for each of those six areas that I just mentioned. And what these are going to do is going they you're going to again give these to everyone on the team, parents, teachers, speech language pathologist, other therapists, and you're gonna have everybody identify which skills the child is having trouble with.
And these are all written out very plainly, so they don't have to try to guess. It's just are they struggling with this, yes or no?
What are the free Progress Monitoring Tools and how are they used?
Okay, so that's going to narrow it down to the specific skills and areas that need to be addressed for each of those larger areas. And then from there, you're going to fill out a custom therapy roadmap for that client. So this is where you're going to just basically check boxes that say, okay, yes, we're struggling with language. Yes, we need help with following directions and sequencing and retelling. And then from there. You have a very laid out plan that shows you exactly which therapy plans you're gonna grab from inside the hub. to use in therapy. And again, remember our therapy plans are those step by step uh therapy systems that are going to take you from introducing a skill to mastering a skill.
How can you create a custom Therapy Roadmap for an individual child?
So they're gonna give you all of the work leading up to mastery. Okay. Uh so the therapy plans are just for the full paid membership, but all the stuff leading up to that is free.
