Me and Ryan have been officially welcomed to the jungle that is Barstool Sports.
I brought it towards the Coyotes and I asked them if it was okay if I joined the Spit Chicklets podcast full-time.

Chapter 3: What does Darren McCarty say about the Detroit Red Wings?
Opening day begins. I think the Red Sox play the Reds in about an hour and a half.
showed out pinkies up showed out pink whitney showed out brock lesnar guys we gotta send him he got in touch with us after he said i want to try this pink whitney stuff said well you might end up with the fucking uh tattoo of something else on your back considering you were drunk and got that tattoo of the sword what a great question that was with like i had that's a wild story
Oh, never in a million years did I expect him to just kind of wake up and be like, what is this? I thought there was a lot of meaning behind it. Now, he did say he felt like his back was against the wall. But I hope everyone enjoyed Brock Lesnar. Biz, thanks for setting that up. It ended up being awesome. I didn't know. I'm not a big wrestling guy that... He doesn't do many interviews.
So the wrestling... online community. We were all over the wrestling Twitter yesterday.
Yeah, they were going crazy. There were these, like, wrestling accounts that were posting videos and clips from the interview or, like, quoting it, and it was getting, like, you know, 70, 80, 90 comments, some of them. Some of them, like, fucking blew up where they had, like, A million people clicked on the tweet to read what was going on.
So never in a million years did I expect it to blow up that much because I didn't realize he just didn't do that many interviews like that. I would just assume, because I feel like, Jens, you're probably the most knowledgeable wrestling guy, that a lot of these guys, self-promotion is kind of what they do.
Yeah, but then there's also like an aura to some guys like Undertaker that didn't do a lot of interviews, Stone Cold, like guys like that during their runs, but maybe a little bit since they've retired, like Stone Cold and Undertaker has. But yeah, he was one of those guys that you never, I mean, even just the way he lives, right? He lives off the grid.

Chapter 4: How does Charlie McAvoy discuss his injuries and team dynamics?
He moved to Canada. Like he doesn't want any publicity, but what a guy. And should we tell the fans now that you're joining the WWE biz? Yeah.
Which I think is such a no brainer.
There's a bidding war actually right now between WWE and AEW because we were with Adam Copeland yesterday on the broadcast. We had him because AEW is owned by TNT or Paramount or whatever fucking company owns us now. That stuff changes pretty quickly now. But I would love to. My whole... You're born for it. L5S1. No, I would bring a massage therapist with me on the road, rub and tug.
You could have a Thai masseuse be your, like, Paul Bearer. My ring lady, my Paul Bearer.
Hey, that's his finisher. He has these Thai ladies run out and jump on the guy's backs and then he bangs them.
And he bangs them.
Like, whoa, whoa. Yeah, they're Canadian immigrants.
But for anyone who... Like myself, not into the WWE or wrestling. The interview is awesome because you just go through a guy's life that got to the top of the mountain in three separate kind of careers. So he's lived a bunch of different lives. And I'm telling you, you wouldn't have to be a wrestling fan to enjoy it. Just a crazy, interesting guy who's turned into just a hockey dad now.
So I hope the people did enjoy to listen. And I hope if you were like, ah, it's not for me, you go check it out.

Chapter 5: What humorous moments occurred during the opening ceremonies?
So the boys, as soon as I got, uh, I got over there early for opening ceremonies, the pictures are hilarious. It's like out to here. And then the boys started calling me quagmire when we were, uh, when they all showed up and sending pictures of that. It was, it was pretty funny though.
it's been an incredible year for you guys based on not your guys' opinion, but maybe the fans and us idiots in like the expectations. And then Tuesday night, enormous home games, Leafs are struggling.
Chapter 6: How did the team respond to their recent struggles?
And I think you would admit probably one of the worst games of the season for your team. I was watching like, Jesus, they just have nothing in the tank and they're going to Buffalo. And then Wednesday night, incredible effort. You're up. I felt bad for Mason Lorai. Makes a mistake, then takes the penalty. They're up 3-2. But you come back and win that game.
There had to be a lot of resolve in the room going into the third, like saying, like, we can't drop two in a row in this race right now.
No, I, like, man, that Tuesday game was so tough. Like, you guys all been in that spot. You know how it is as a player. Like, you know, you have the look-ahead game. Like, it's a real thing.
Chapter 7: What insights did Charlie McAvoy share about team chemistry?
They talk about it. But, like, we knew it. So we talked about it openly. Like, boys, we have to win this game. These are the ones you're going to look back on, like,
Chapter 8: What are the implications of the playoff race on team performance?
you know Tuesday against that Leafs team that like you know they're they're out of it like they just want to play spoiler we can't these are the games you have to win and we still fucking laid an egg man we just couldn't we couldn't manufacture it like it was so bad. We just didn't play like to our identity in any way. So it was just tough.
And then we woke up and, uh, and we were like, we should get right on the plane after go to Buffalo. Sturmey yesterday morning was like, I'm not even going to show you guys anything from it. Not one clip from it. Like it was that bad. And like,
been around before like you know when it's that bad honestly you don't even need to see it we knew so it was just like completely flipped it like he he said some really good things in the morning spotter said some good things like we had a chance amongst the guys to to kind of talk in front of the group like you know just how big this was and and coming down the stretch like every game now there are no more of those we play against all the best teams in the
Dallas, I think. Toughest schedule, I believe. Yeah. Yeah. And seven of which on the road as well. I believe that included last night's game in Buffalo, but that's a tough slate. It's a four and six. It is, yeah. But we just talked about it before the game. It was just like, man, it's going to be a good fucking story, boys. Like, Lay an egg last night.
Now we go in and play the best team in the league in a fucking must-win game. Like, let's do it. And, you know, obviously, like, it wasn't smooth in any way. We like to make things hard on ourselves sometimes. But, like, you see that one through and get two points. It was just huge. We were pumped after it. Yeah, it kind of leads me into the next question we have.
We were talking about coach of the year candidates, and this is one of those years where it feels like you nominate eight to ten guys because of jobs they've done. You talk about Sturm doing that. It seems like he's just hitting all the right buttons from the message into training camp
a guy who had a long career that was well respected and just like he's himself there's no bullshit there's no hamming it up he's just himself and like what has he done to this group and was it what has he instilled in order to like kind of get you guys firing the way you have and essentially overachieving yeah i mean he kind of laid his foundation right right at training camp like he said uh and i think the messaging has been great i think you know just the the team
for sure from last year, this year is just, is a closer knit team. Like there's some more personality in the group. So obviously that, that has helped us, you know, on the ice, but with Sturmey, he's just been great. Like his strategy that he brought in of like, like I said, wanting to play fast, play behind teams. Like, you know, he calls it the long game. Like,
We're very quick to just transition. We want to get pucks out. It's not like Carolina where we want to flip pucks, but we want to get in races. We want to make it hard and back you off. You see a lot of teams that are playing like that now. It's not fun to play against. Buffalo, in their way last night, they just go. They go. Those are the games that are tough. We wanted to do it.
