Lawrence Shanklin's big chance with Stephen O'Donnell gets back in the block I think it is an unbelievable block it is an unbelievable block but Lawrence being Lawrence a top top striker fantastic goal scorer I think he smiles because he thinks he's already scored before he gets the ball in the back of the net and it's so unlike him but in true style he comes back and scores but that was my howler of the week

Yeah I was fortunate enough to be at the game at the weekend I thought Finlay Curtis throughout the game was a real threat and to get the two goals and as I said the other one I feel as if it was a real good piece of business getting him in
It's an interesting start going about, you know, Finlay Curtis is currently on seven goals and, you know, you look at the Rangers wingers who have pretty much not kind of added to their tally at all. I think he beats three of them and I've obviously let him go in January. I think that can may well be a bit of a mistake letting him go.

so yeah I think there's no surprise and you're probably going to get a lot of this from Rangers fans tonight Danny Rowe he needs to go the boarders need to be really quick and decisive here and not wait until the inevitable October next year I think he's shown now that he's incapable of getting big results on big games I mean yesterday I mean let's face it he was out thought by what a 73 year old man who was until recently retired

Chapter 5: How do Celtic fans view their chances in the title race?
Inevitably, you've got that new manager bounce that we have seen many times before. We've seen it with Clement, we've seen it with Gio, we've seen it with Michael Beale. You get the first few games and everything's rosy, but... The performances have been so poor, but when it comes down to the big games, he's been so, so poor. I mean, his reactions to things on the park is so slow.
Every Rangers fan would have watched that game yesterday and knew that the changes Celtic were going to make in the second half. And he just went with it for, what, 60 minutes until he made changes? Starting Tavernier yesterday was a joke, let's face it.
Alex, if you are an old firm manager and you don't win the league and you don't win any trophies whatsoever, there are always going to be question marks. Is that heightened when 40 million is spent this season and you finish third in the table?
Chapter 6: What were the standout performances in the weekend matches?
Yeah, well, listen, I think it's, you have to look at it twofold. There's been obviously two managers in there as well. All that money wasn't spent on him. I think it was well regarded, the poor start that they had, that they'd recruited poorly. There wasn't a great deal of players jumping out who arrived last summer, who you would go, oh, he's a mainstay.
And, you know, there was a lot of question marks over the majority. Obviously, the top end of the pitch you had, you had Cermiti who was getting a barrage of abuse about that as well and then Fernandes and then all of a sudden Danny Rowe comes in and he actually he's right Mark's right they get the bounce but unfortunately they haven't been able to maintain that
now the problem you have is with this is rinse and repeat and Mark mentioned the previous three or four managers where you come in you get a bounce and then as soon as it goes wrong now I think three games ago I think people were saying Rangers were probably favourites to go in and win this but they had the momentum they were scoring quite fraily
and the fact that they were conceding goals at the back for me was a concern even though they were winning games they used to take three after the beginning so see when they're conceding twos and threes and things that was a real concern for me the alarm bells are there yeah because it just puts more pressure at the top end of the pitch if you don't obviously score goals there then you still have that fragility and it's carried on into yesterday's game where they've conceded three as well so then you have now and it's a real dilemma for the Rangers board because obviously you've got two games to go
Chapter 7: How do injuries affect Hearts' chances in the final matches?
Depending how that goes, you're limping into the summer, finishing third. In March, right, they've spent £40 million. And there's question marks over the manager. There's question marks over the personnel in the dressing room. And what you have there is you have a disgruntled Rangers following, thinking, if we go into the summer, are we going to...
finance this manager and trying to be balanced and fair to Danny Rowe he said one transfer window which is not a great deal it's not a good mark either that time in January when the money he spent and the players he brought in you could see the buzz that were round about the Rangers supporters they fought and by the way a lot of us fought as well that they came out of that so strongly and everybody kind of thought Rangers could go on to win this title the fact that Rangers had only lost two games up until the post split fixtures to then go on free and lose free on a row when you're pushing for a club like Rangers to go and win a title
that is simply not good enough and by the way I've been on this show in the last couple of weeks and I've said about Danny Rowe and I felt and I still do feel he deserves a pre-season and get these same players in because at the same time it's easy to shout at the manager the players that are there need to take a huge responsibility this is now the second manager at Rangers and if you actually look at the game yesterday Rangers started extremely well
Romans and Tavernier had the freedom of Celtic Park on the flanks The two, Mikey Moore and Ant-Man were coming into the pockets Tying up Celtic's full backs Rangers' problem was the quality They could not get the ball to those wide players to really go and hurt them And on a few occasions where they actually did get it to Tavernier He would hit the first man and that is so unlike him So there were signs of Rangers starting extremely well They get the first goal But as soon as Celtic get level And then obviously they score the two goals in the second half
like it's an old firm game Rangers went missing for me yeah but it's not it's not just the old firm game I think you know even if you go back to the Motherwell game you know they show that spurt in the second half but then they cave in again so there's a Danny Rowe tries to evade the question of the mentality of the group and he's trying to protect them in some ways but the actual reality is when it came to the crunch the three games subsequently since the split they've not been near it
Where does that share of responsibility lie for you, Mark, between Danny Rule and the players?

Chapter 8: What are the expectations for the upcoming fixtures in the title race?
It's equally shared. There's no getting away from that, right? The players' mentality has been questioned. And I think they've not come out of this looking rosy. Absolutely not. So the players are absolutely at fault as much as Danny Rule. But Danny Rule's got to bear the brunt of that. I'm afraid that's his job. And unfortunately, he's not performing to standards.
But what I would say on top of that, and Alex is absolutely bangling the money in regards to our defence, that our arm bells have been going off for a very, very long time now. The way that we've been shitting goals and we've been scoring, but we've been shitting goals left, right and centre. My bigger point though is,
How many games now have we showed up for 45 minutes and opposing manager makes a little tweak or a little change in their formation or their shape and it's like he's baffled by it and it takes him like 20 minutes to react to that. You know, he's supposed to be a young, exciting coach, comes with a decent reputation.
I mean, you don't work at Bayern Munich if you're not good at something about you. But, you know, he should know better than that.
he needs to be quicker and I just don't think he's got it So here's one for you Mark for example if Danny Rowe does go who would you like to see as a Rangers manager going forward then?
I think you've got two obvious choices staring you right in your face I think for years we've missed the boat out in Derek McInnes I think I'm going to be honest I think as a club we have been too snobby when it's come to players and managers we've been looking our nose down at Scottish players Scottish managers We should have took him about two years ago, to be honest.
So I would be breaking the bank to get him in, because I think he'll get it. Steven Gerrard's going to come up. Of course he is. Would I take him? Of course I would. But would he be my top choice? No, I would take Dell first, because I think he would do an excellent job.
