0141 951 1025 It's time to talk football It's Clyde One Super Scoreboard
Good evening and welcome to Clyde One's Super Scoreboard. Dyson Maeda gets set to leave Celtic as Ipswich agree a £10m fee. Celtic and Rangers are hit with SFA charges for last season's Scottish Cup pitch invasion and Hearts are in Champions League qualifying action away to Sturm Graz tonight. I'm Andrew McLean, joining me in the studio. is John Spencer and seems to be hotting up when it comes to transfers not too much activity in the way for Celtic but looks as if there's going to be a big out in Dyson Maeda which a lot of people saw coming and it's going to be Ipswich it looks like Well I think if everybody supports Celtic obviously I thought last year that this was possibly going to happen instead of another 12 months was massive impact on the team
and drove him to a championship so i think there'll be a lot of really surprised fans tonight disappointed fans i would say yeah the news breaking today that switch have agreed a fee of eight million pounds that could rise to 10 million pounds with add-ons how do you feel about that fee because i've seen the response from some celtic fans on social media that were maybe expecting to get a bit more for him i think if he was in the last 24 months he's contract
you know a couple of years to go then you can demand that bigger fee but you run the risk of the player saying you know what I'm going to sit tight for the next 12 months and the club ends up with nothing so it's you know you're left in that situation I think they were right to take the money And the big games keep coming thick and fast there are more Premier Sports Cup games tonight there were some at the weekend
And then the European qualifiers are upon us as well. Hearts in Champions League action tonight. All that hard work, all the blood, sweat and tears from last season has managed to get them a second place finish and managed to get them a crack at the Champions League. I'm sure the Hearts supporters that have made the journey over there can't wait to start whatever the European adventure is going to be for them this season.
I think they would have liked to have had the tag of Scottish champions this year didn't quite work out for them in the end but another step in the right direction for that club hopefully it's a very exciting journey for the club and the players and a first proper glimpse for heart supporters of what life after Derek McInnes is going to look like because
They've had friendly matches. I think they've had some good performances in friendly matches from what I've seen. But the first competitive match, European action under Wouter Wranke and a good number of players that they've brought in as well. So this will be the first glimpse to see whether Hearts can either emulate, go one better this season, see how they can get on.
Well, it's the first step in the journey again. Champions League football, I think they'll take that journey. They'd be happy.
Is Daizen Maeda set to join Ipswich for a reported £8m–£10m fee?
If you gave them that 12 months ago, they'd have been absolutely delighted to get into this tournament. Fingers crossed for them. It's a Scottish club. We want them all to do well in Europe.
41951 1025 on the phones that is the number you need to get in touch first of all Celtic fans I want to hear from you on Dyson Maeda because it looks as if he is on his way out it's been a long time coming I think Brendan Rodgers said at one point that it was a year ago in February that he first started making noises about wanting to move he's been quite vocal about the fact that he wants to go to the English Premier League And it looks as if his dream is going to become a reality for a fee that is reported to be £8 million initially that could rise to £10 million. So how do you feel about that transfer? How do you feel about the fee attached to that transfer? Do you think that is an acceptable fee for him in the last 12 months of his contract where you may be expecting to get a bit more for him?
And then what happens in terms of incomings?
